  1. The thing that people criticize the most seems to be John Travolta as Robert Shapiro. And while I can see why people would be annoyed by him I think the criticisms are blown way out of proportion. Yes, he is over the top with his line readings but people make it sound like he is Tommy-Wiseau-bad.
  2. Yes. Plus the stuff that hasn't been announced yet.
  3. Far Habor sounds interesting. The other two not so much.
  4. "The X Factor" by Iron Maiden. It usually gets lumped together with the terrible Vitual IX and ignored but it is a very good album if you get over the fact that Bruce Dickinson isn't singing on it. Dio's "Dream Evil". If people talk about great Dio albums they usually talk about the first three. But I think the first album with Craig Goldy deserves to be mentioned along with them. It is a very well done continuation of the more synth-heavy sound of "Sacred Heart": It also featured my favorite Dio song "All The Fools Sail Away". Another underrated Dio album is "Strange Highways". I know the band received a lot of backlash because relatively slow pace and the doom and industrial influences of the album. But the thing is that it wasn't as much a Dio album as it was a continuation of what Sabbath and Dio did on "Dehumanizer" which was released a year and a half earlier. I think if Dio never left them and they did another record it would sound something like it. And I think Dio made it work. "Angry Machines" was shit though. Helloween's "Pink Bubbles Go Ape". The general consensus amongst Helloween fans seems to be that the band stopped being good after Keeper Part II was released and didn't start being good again until Andi Deris and Uli Kusch joined. The two albums that were released in this time span (the above mentioned album as well as "Chameleon") are much maligned. But I think “Pink Bubbles” is a hidden gem. Yes, you could hear that they were trying to adopt a more accessible and radio-friendly sound (although let's be honest, apart from their first album they never were never that heavy to begin with) and the guitars get buried in the mix but the songs themselves are good for the most part. With a different producer and some song switched (like taking out the poppy “Number One” and replacing it with “Where The Rain Grows” which was supposed to be on the album but was cut because the producer didn't like it) they could have named it “Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part II” and I doubt that many fans would've complained. “Another Perfect Day” by Motörhead. I don't get why people didn't like this album when it came out. Yes it may be a bit polished due to Brian Robertson's involvement but other than that it isn't too different from the other albums they had released up until that point.

    RIP Lemmy

I don't know which one of the guitarist it was but one of them seemed to be more interested in showing off than playing the damn song!
  6. +1 And I haven't even seen the first season. I really have to rectify that.
  7. I have to say that episode was kinda lame.
  8. But wouldn't that basically be like every other story about a misfit in school once the novelty of him not knowing how the non-wizard world works wears off?
  9. A more in-depth look at Gellert Grindelwald, his reign of terror, his relationship with Dumbledore and Dumbledore's change of heart would be interesting as well.
  10. Speaking of Candlemass, they're going to release a 4-track EP in celebration of their 30th Anniversary in June via Napalm Records. It will be the first Candlemass release to feature vocalist Mats Leven who is probably most known for his stint with Yngwie Malmsteen in the late 90s as well as the his involvement with Krux and Abstrakt Algebra, two projects founded by Candlemass founder, bandleader and bassist Leif Edling when Candlemass was inactive. Edling, who isn't going to play with Candlemass this year citing health issues as the reason, has started yet another side-project called "Doomsday Kingdom". There is not much known about the project yet but it's by Leif Edling so it has to bee good. Here the announcement:
  11. I don't know. It could be interesting if they ignore all the fanfic-y stuff Rowling said that would take place after the books. You know, the stuff where everyone got married and lived happily ever after and Hermione single-handedly rights all the wrongs in the world of wizards.
  12. Reba McClane is her name. I think this is the strongest portrayal of her character of all the three adaptions (the other 2 being Michael Mann's "Manhunter" and Brett Ratner's (of all people) "Red Dragon"). I think Richard Armitage was the best Francis Dolarhyde we had as well.
  13. I agree with you that the first half of the Season didn't work at all. That was utter shite. But the 2nd half, their adaptation of Red Dragon, was, up until the final episode, very good. They just ruined it with the final episode.
  14. Love: The Big Lebowski Like: Oh Brother Where Are Thou? Hate: Transformers: Age of Extinction Hate - Like: The Hangover Part III
  15. So this means there probably won't be any Hannibal-related project in the future. Can't say that makes me happy. I really wanted that show to get a proper ending. The last episode was so anticlimactic. It didn't work as a good ending to the Red Dragon arc, it didn't work as a season closer and it sure as hell didn't work as a series finale.
  16. To be honest I did enjoy playing it as well. And I'm going to enjoy playing the DLC when it finally is released. Even if they're not that good these Bethesda open world RPGs are still addictive as fuck. But if you play it for a while the cracks begin to show. Same as with Skyrim which I quit playing after a while. The main reason why I didn't quit Fallout 4 is because I enjoy the setting much more.
  17. Don't forget that the story is utter shit. But that is to be expected by a Bethesda game. They did improve the companions though. Much better than the bland mercenaries you had in Skyrim and, with a few exceptions, Fallout 3. Still not as good as those in New Vegas though.
  18. I know they haven't been Metal in a while but Avantasia (Rock Opera project by Edguy singer and mastermind Tobias Sammet) have entered their song "Mystery Of A Blood Red Rose" from their lastest album Ghostlights into the preliminary TV casting show to choose the candidate to represent Germany at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. To be honest I'm not a big fan of the song. And I doubt that it will be successful in Sweden. I don't think it's catchy enough.
  19. Love: Dallas Buyers Club Like Contact Hate: The Wedding Planner Hate-Like: N/A. Haven't seen enough movies with him and the ones I saw I either liked or disliked.
  20. 1. Rage 2. Whatever group of musicians Ronnie James Dio was involved with at any given time (except Elf. I never managed to get into that) 3. Masterplan 4. Helloween 5. Whitesnake

  22. I've just rewatched Season 3 of Crossing Jordan. The season was pushed back from 2003 to 2004 and only consisted of 13 episodes because of lead actress Jill Hennessy's pregnancy as opposed to the usual 21 to 22 episode runs of the previous two seasons. While watching I noticed something odd: The final episode of season 2 ended with a HUGE cliffhanger regarding Jordan, her father, her half-brother and Woody. And they don't resolve that until the final episode of season 3. They don't even mention it in the episodes preceding it. And then when the season finale finally rolls around it's like no time has passed between the events in the finales of Seasons 2 and 3. For example over the course of Season 3 they introduce a new female coroner to the cast who is suddenly nowhere to be found in the finale. They don't mention that she is off-duty or home sick or on vacation. She is just suddenly not there anymore. Also Season 3 isn't some kind of prequel Season either. In the 12 episodes leading up to the finale they're working cases like usual. I was confused so I checked Wikipedia and according to their episode guide it wasn't just the season finale that should' have been the season opener. The entire season was aired out of order from a continuity standpoint. Does anyone have any idea why they did that?
  23. Love: Three Kings Like: Oh Brother Where Are Thou? Hate: Batman & Robin Like/Hate: Return of the Killer Tomatoes
  24. I really hated that part. He was great. I wanted more of him. He would've been the perfect Joker. And the way the scene was exicuted was cringeworthy. Especialyl the voiceover of his father or whoever that old guy was (can't remember) was so over the top even for this show. For me one of the weakest moments of the 2nd season. What a waste of a good character.
