  1. Looking at it again, I probably should have had her as a Best Supporting Actress. She really doesn't have enough screen time to justify a best actress nod.

  3. Anyone catch today's World Club Challenge? Stuart Fielden made it clear why he should be considered the best forward in the game today, he's wasting his talent up there playing with the likes of Meyers. Should be downunder playing against the world's best players consistently - he could still improve. Wests looked awful without Marshall.
  4. Got Resident Evil 4, Ricky Ponting International Cricket 2005, and The Warriors for $30 each. Got Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone for $12 All through a friend who has a mate who works at a games store.
  5. Munich 7/10. I didn't really see what all the hype was about. It has its stirring moments and, as you'd expect from Spielberg, it's well made - but it lacks a lot of pace and has some bits that just plain drag.
  6. Heh, that's great. My first console was a Nintendo (64, heh, I was a late bloomer) but I've always had a soft spot for it. Have an xBox and a PS2 now, but I still go back to play the N64 sometimes. Maybe it's just that I had my 64 when I was fourteen or fifteen and the world was that much more fun, but I've never been able to replace games like Mario 64, Mario Kart, Zelda & The Ocarina of Time, or Goldeneye.
  7. I'm going to go with Chaos Theory. Maybe I'm just a sucker for the 'kempay style', but I like a plain background with the white cuts. The bottom half of CT's is top shelf, whilst the upper half is a little weak. Cole's is good too, but too much purple hurts my eyes.
  8. Not that it really matters, but I'll go against the grain and say EWO. I didn't like either too much, but EWO's had a better look to it. The red wash on the JTE's was a bit much.
  9. I think we've already got five, but my vote goes to EWO as well. It's got a far more professional look to it, and although the focus is maybe a little off, it's the better looking poster overall.
  10. When my brother first got it we played it in shifts (I had midnight until 6am, being the night owl) and we were all hardcore into it. Mostly I just liked to hack 'n slash, but both of my brothers did a lot of trading and such both in game and on eBay. Alas, they've graduated to WoW now and haven't looked back.
  11. I was always shocked that Futurama didn't survive. It had a unique setting, characters on a par (if not ahead of) those of The Simpsons, and infinite possibilities for storylines. I always found it as a more intelligent, edgier alternative to The Simpsons. Great news, if it's true. Would definitely pay to see them.
  12. The Singing Detective - 5.5/10 I've not seen the original mini-series from the BBC, but given it's somewhere in the vicinity of six hours, it's easy to assume that this 105 minute movie wasn't going to do it justice. Whilst Robert Downey Jr, Robin Wright Penn, and Mel Gibson all give tremendous performances - it's just too 'all over the shop' to keep up with. In between random musical intervals and the flashbacks to different times (and to the novel itself) - you get a little lost. All that I really enjoyed were the scenes in which a bed-ridden Downey Jr examined his own inner demons.
  13. Crash: 10/10 Simply put, one of the most beautifully constructed movies I've ever seen. There are moments of such brilliance in it that it just takes your breath away at times. Deserved more Globe nominations than it received.
  14. I didn't mind Hulk, although it would only rank above 'Daredevil' in terms of comics to movies adaptations. The slow pace was ok, but it was just a little too slow. Plus the whole big finish was kind of weird. Disappointing to see they want to go straight to DVD. That doesn't really bode well for the franchise.
  15. Hilarious. Makes me want to see Avenue Q.

  18. No surprise to see Phillipousis go out without much of a fight. I remember when he was actually half decent, now we're supposed to rely on Lleyton for our tennis glory - and he's a prize ass. I can't see Federer losing it, truth be told. Women's tennis is far more open atm, especially with the injuries. Would like to see Sharipova or Clijsters take it out.
  19. I can forgive your disdain for league if you're choosing football/soccer over it. If it's for love of Yawnion, though, for shame.
