So got my PS3 at the weekend, got it rigged up with my new surround sound (and the game sounds absolutely fucking amazing which is a feat in itself considering I thought it sounded amazing before) and then finally started playing this yesterday afternoon, before I knew it it was 10pm... and I've only just arrived at Riverwood. It's hard to believe how much has come back to me considering I haven't played for over a year. Love this game.

My first-gen PS3 finally shat itself last October when I tried to play GTA V on it >_> and with it went my two years of progress on Skyrim, this was truly heartbreaking as I've never invested so much time in a game before. Thankfully I'll be getting a new PS3 here in the next month or so and I have the choice of getting a few games with it. I've still got my old Skyrim disk but I'm contemplating getting the Legendary edition. Are the DLCs worth playing seeing as I'll be starting from scratch again?

With reference to the N64/GC/Wii games I think that from OoT onwards you can see where they've tried to make the games fit together with shared back stories and references to each other, but as far as the old gen console games and anything on hand held go I find it hard to see where these games can ever fit into a proper time line that does make sense with the exception of maybe a Link to the Past. The problem for me is that it's clear that the likes of Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass were made to give hand helds Zelda games moreso than further the Zelda "story", they're just too detached and too different to fit in with the likes of OoT or whatever. I know there is an official document held by Nintendo detailing the time line, but I've always liked the idea that the story (or stories) are simply legends, and legends sometimes get confused and muddled as they're passed down through generation.

I watched this from the start and I went into it with absolutely no idea of what to expect, I'd never even heard of the books. I got waaaaaay more than I bargained for and I can't believe 10 episodes went in so fast. For the first time in I don't know how long I actually anticipated each episode every week and on quite a few occasions I was left never moreso than with Ned's execution. My jaw quite literally dropped when it happened and I echo previous posters sentiments with regards to HBO having the balls to actually kill Sean Bean's character off given that he was the poster boy for the first series. Can't wait for season 2 and without sounding too clichéd at this point I really want the books. Utter brilliance. EDIT: Oh and the opening credits are absolutely epic. Usually I fast forward things like that but I watched them every week without fail.

Question. How do you put someone through the announce table? Like with a normal move? Seems like the only thing you can do is dive off the turnbuckle. I don't even know how to climb onto the table myself.

Think I'll be going for the Undertaker pre-order. I'm not that fussed on Unforgiven 2007 tbh, but UT's entrance was pretty cool IIRC and the promo vids before the PPV and just before the match were those really cool ones set in Death Valley. Worth a watch again.

Doesn't doing it via the controller make the light go red anyway? I don't understand why you would need to do both the remote and the console shutdowns - they both do the same thing. See this is what I thought. But before when I just shut it down using the PS button I used to get the message saying I'd shut down iccorrectly when I turned my PS3 back on again! Unless I've misread the article I found on Google, I'll just go back to doing what every one else does then

Rather simple question to be honest, what is the correct way to switch your PS3 off? Currently I press the PS button and choose "turn off system", then when it has turned off I then hold down the power button on the console itself until the blue and green lights flash, then it beeps and then the lights go red again. Then finally turn it off at the back. Now, before anyone says or thinks it, I have searched Google >_> and that's where I read how to turn it off properly. But I just want to check out how other people do it because previously I kept getting the message telling me I didn't shut down correctly.

This. I think THQ could be onto something. It sounds like they've finally listened to years of feedback of not only what gamers DO want but also what they DON'T want. I see massive improvements here and even though I haven't bought the game every year I've still been following it.

I have to say that I am actually really looking forward to buying the game this year. I used to buy every year faithfully up until 2008 when they quite frankly began to seriously suck. I considered last year but when it came to the crunch improved customization just wasn't enough to swing it for me. I have little time to really get into games nowadays so all those added design modes and whatever else just wouldn't be any use to me. This year, the new physics system looks awesome and I'm really looking forward to an improved HIAC. With every thing combined I'm pretty sure I won't regret buying this year >_> EDIT: Just watched a video of The Rock performing his finishers on his profile over at that Smackdown vs. Raw site and I noticed that they have duelling chants for him and Austin, is that new this year? It's a nice touch. Glad to see a new Rock Bottom and People's Elbow too.

Guys. Either I'm being completely retarded, or IGN don't update their site anywhere. Cos I've been checking all week for new videos, articles or even a full roster list on their PS3 page yet there has been nothing added since the end of August. I know they don't do a countdown any more, but it seems like they actually don't do anything considering the game is meant to be out next month.
