  2. This is like a John Cena match, just when you think thats it, he kicks out at 2 9/10
  3. Hey look its WWE Hall of Famer Pete Rose, where's Kane when we need him?
  4. Extra innings in pouring rain for these two teams, seems fitting.
  5. They put Lester in too soon, but took him out too soon also. He was doing great the past couple innings.
  6. If the Cubs lose this, I blame Maddon. Shouldn't have brought in Lester when they did. They were doing fine.
  7. This is getting to be like Obama becoming President in 2008, you can just feel history is on the verge of being made.
  8. I'll be the first to admit, I was ready to count the Cubs out after they went down 3 games to 1, but they played beautifully the past 2 games. So glad this series is going the distance to game 7 (we haven't had any extra innings games yet have we?). Pulling for the Cubs to do it one more time, but props to both teams either way.
  9. Haha, wow been switching back and forth between this and Smackdown. It was 4-0 last I checked, now its 7-0. Go Cubs.
  10. Its pretty bad when the Cubs have to hope they can make it back to Cleveland to have a shot at winning the World Series. Finally making it to the World Series only to be on the verge of losing, at home, just epitomizes the curse even more.
  11. Damn, if the Cubs win the series now, its gonna end in Cleveland not Wrigley Field.
  12. I don't really watch much pro sports honestly. Most of the teams I like are because of the mascots. I like the Cardinals because I imagine actual cardinals playing baseball or football and that seems amusing. As for local teams, I support the minor league baseball team, though I don't like that they got renamed as the South Bend Cubs when they had their own name for 20 years. (the Silver Hawks, something that actually fit with South Bend being home to Studebaker). They were the South Bend White Sox before that too, come up with your own mascots instead of being offshoots of pro teams. And I hate Notre Dame with a passion because that's all I ever hear about is how great and wonderful they are. I know plenty of Notre Dame fans who are blue-collar, down to earth people, but a lot of people who go to/work at Notre Dame just seem like pompous, holier than thou, overly religious assholes who are too good to associate with people who don't fit their standards and who are embarrassed to be associated with South Bend. My dad being a Purdue alum may have something to do with it too.
  13. Hey this is my gimmick and you used it on my birthday no less. That's a paddlin'
  14. After the Red Sox broke their long drought in 2004, then the White Sox broke their slightly longer drought in 2005 (both of which were done in 4-0 shutouts), its amazing that its taken another 11 years for 2 more teams with long droughts (Cleveland since 1948 and the Cubs since 1908) to make it to the World Series to end one of their droughts as well. Being from north central Indiana, I feel like I could cheer for either team, but I've gotta go with the Cubs. 2016 has been a cursed year for a lot of things, so it would be pretty fitting if one of the biggest curses was finally definitively broken.
  15. My father was 1 year old the last time the Cubs made the World Series. But, my grandparents weren't even born yet the last time the Cubs won the World Series. This is monumental. Maybe Back to the Future II was just a year off? Did everybody in EWB faint? lol
  16. What, $113,000 per appearance with creative control, the freedom to work in other promotions and tour in Japan isn't enough?
  17. You bet I could! *feverishly starts typing*
  18. Since it was in the same arena as Royal Rumble 2014, does this mean we'll get a bunch of still images focusing on C.M. Punk's ass.............getting handed to him?
