  1. It took me 10 years and nearly 2 months, but I've made 5000 posts on EWB! If I had a nickel for every post I made on here, I'd have......5000 nickels! Or 250 dollars, but that doesn't sound THAT impressive does it? Well neither does 5000 posts over 10 years when you think about it, its only 1.37 posts per day. But still, its something right?

Generally spicy food is a good challenger. I wonder if Curry Man has ever challenged Carlito.

No he hasn't, since I just signed Christopher Daniels to my roster earlier this year :)

  2. Truly one of the greats, what an incredible career he had spanning multiple decades. Film will definitely miss his presence.
  3. I think Bob's Burgers aired two new episodes in the same night (one before the Simpsons and one after Family Guy), did you miss either one of those?
  4. Community Season 6 finale was both hilarious and heartwarming at the same time. Each season it seems like the next season is up in the air, so you never know if the season finale will end up being the series finale and without giving much away, this definitely left it as open-ended as ever, they could end it here and it'd make sense, but I pray they will continue with another season on Yahoo or whoever else wants to host them, and we of course need the movie now. I just love this show so much.
  5. I know all my valuables are triple-protected thanks to my NEW DAY LOCKS

  6. Sheamus is gonna be in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie as Rocksteady? Is that the reason for his mohawk?

Oh man...they should really turn him into real life Lobster Warrior from The Cornell Verse.

  7. This episode was so amazing I didn't even notice until afterwards that Abed didn't appear on screen once I don't think. The entire cast is incredible, but Chang has really stolen the show a lot of times over this season, I hope if there's a season 7 (fingers crossed), he's still a part of it since Ken Jeong has his own show coming on ABC this fall. Also heard a while back Danny Pudi was developing a show for NBC, so hope they don't lose him either. I mean Community has only been 13 episodes a season for a while now, so hopefully it wouldn't cause too many scheduling conflicts, but the show has developed a second life this year, I don't want it to end anytime soon if we can keep getting A+ material like this all the time.
  8. According to my WWE daily calendar, on this day in history: "With memories of their WrestleMania XIV battle still fresh in their minds, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels forge an uneasy alliance in a World Tag Team Championship match on Raw against Owen Hart & the British Bulldog." So Austin & Michaels won the Tag Team Titles AFTER WrestleMania XIV, which now happened in 1997? You learn something new every day lol.

  9. Plus, the Late Show usually taped Friday shows ahead of time, sometimes even taping them on Mondays, though they switched that to Thursdays more recently, and just avoided using date-specific topics in the monologue/segments, so its not a big surprise they didn't end on a Friday, just like Johnny Carson usually didn't work Mondays and had a guest host on those nights.
  10. So strange turning on CBS at 11:35 tonight and not even getting a rerun of The Late Show, but a rerun of The Mentalist instead.
  11. Yeah, will definitely be tuning in. Dave's been on the air just about the same amount of time as I've been alive, in fact his short-lived morning show was cancelled on October 24, 1980, exactly one year to the day before I was born and his final show today is the same as my dad's birthday. Plus there's the whole Indiana connection, probably won't be another Hoosier with that much influence on national television for some time. I don't pretend to be his biggest supporter, but I always preferred him over Leno and I respect all that he has done. Just like Johnny Carson influenced comedians of Letterman's generation, Letterman had a profound impact on a lot of this generation's comedians. Yeah, he hasn't been as cutting edge as he was in the 80's and 90's, but this is still a milestone event in television that can't be missed. Even for shows I never watched or haven't tuned in to for years, I always try to watch the final episode of a show if possible, if its been running long enough and has been hyped up well enough just for the whole sentiment of it all. Dave is the last connection to a bygone era in a lot of ways. After tonight, the last late night host left from the 80's will be finished, leaving Conan O'Brien and Jon Stewart as the longest running talk show hosts, until Stewart himself retires later this year. This decade has been a period of transition in late night TV and tonight represents one the last changing of the guard moments. I'll be glued to my TV for the entire hour-plus until Dave signs off for good.
  12. Alright, I'll say it: Super Mario Bros. yeah its not anything extraordinary by any rights, a British and a Latino actor playing two Italian plumbers, but I thought it was pretty fun when I first saw it. They could do probably do a better job with all the CGI today and all, but for 1993 or whenever it was, I enjoyed it.
  13. Just got renewed for 2 more seasons, so not finishing up anytime soon by the looks of it.
  14. Bummer. Poor Rod and Todd Flanders, first they lose their mom, then Mrs. Krabappel as potential stepmother, now their father will become a deaf mute or something.
  15. I too wish to be a donator again. Come on EWB, take my money, you know you want it.

  16. That's boxing. They tried to calm everybody down with the Star Spangled Banner. I want to die and be re-born in the 1940s. Yeah, nowadays playing the Star Spangled Banner would probably just offend somebody.
  17. 49-0 is also the record of Rocky Marciano so it holds some historical significance, but yeah 50 would be a better place to stop, though I'd rather see it Mayweather end at 48-1 just cause.
  18. OK WWE, Mayweather-Lesnar, WrestleMania 32, book it now, lets see Brock conquer another streak.
  19. "Haaaaaaaaaaaaam giiiiirrrrrrrrrrllllll!" "Yooba dooba dooba" Community makes me break into hysterics with every passing week. The movie was amazingly bad and incredible at the same time as has been said. Cutting in the scenes of Chang throughout just took it to another level. Just an outstanding season all around and yes Alison Brie the best everything, she can be my pleasure droid/assassin anytime.
  20. It is now the 23rd of April 2015 which means I have been part of EWB for 10 straight years now. Thanks for tolerating me all this time.

Pfft It's all about the Australian's now.

  21. I loved everything about this week's episode, from Chang's Power Point presentation at the beginning, to the guerrilla marketing throughout for Honda (coincidence that one of the actual commercials was for Honda lol), to the return of Britta's parents, to Billy Zane's awkward disappearing act, it was all hilarious. Damn it Community, stop being so awesome every week.......on second thought, don't stop. You're too incredible, much like a Honda.
  22. I can't wait for the episode where Bob Saget from the future tells his grandkids the story of how he met their dead grandmother but was really interested in Aunt Becky the whole time. Then by 2030, we'll get a spin-off of this with one of DJ's kids being widowed and having to raise kids as a single parent to make it Fullest House. Oh and DJ's dead husband's last name should actually be Fuller so the title takes on double meaning.
