So here is the update for January, one of the key updates this month has been with worker experience, this is a stat that's based on the amount of matches a worker has had, Idol was able to provide a handy formula (number of matches times 0.4), this translates to 3 matches for 1 experience up to 250 matches for 100 experience. I've been working from the top down and tidied up a few at the bottom, the conversion set people at every 10 points and I've updated everyone except for most of those rated at 20, 30 and 40, it's just going to take time to sort them all out. After that I'm going to look into updating Chikara workers and removing their gimmick workers and moving them to the workers under the masks. Other than that the next thing is I have most of the broadcaster logos updated, I still have a few to do but they mostly need some more hunting. There is also an updated worker pack this month, I'd suggest if you have used my older pack to update to this one, all the workers and filenames have been updated for this mod. Beyond that it's the usual updates posted in the threads and on discord with updating title changes and the like, anything missing post bellow.

Enjoy

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is [Promotion] closed when they are active?
Due to how slow the game runs with more promotions active, I have included active promotions but have them closed, to identify these they have their opening date and closed date the same. To activate the promotion simply remove the closed date.

Having a cagematch profile tends to bbe my first stop, a few of them have one, but I'm currently going through updating stats so I want to finish with the workers in the mod bbefore adding new ones.

All of those match listings I got from cagematch. I skipped over the ones without.

-  Brendan Vink is not part of RAW

- There is no RAW Show on Tele 5 Germany (RAW and Smackdown is held on ProSiebenMaxx Germany)

-  In Game there is DAZN America, British, Canada, Europe, Japan... In real life there is DAZN Germany. It Brdocast RAW and SD in Germany, too.

Had a quick look, boredom... Just wondered why no NJPW USA? Also, why so many no-compete deals with the WWE? No way have they deals in place to not sign from AEW etc.

Pretty sure with the way the game works and the contract status of a lot of the people on the roster, WWE would cripple AEW very quickly if it wasn't set up that way.

What do you mean by NJPW USA, the shows or the tournament, because there isn't a promotion by that name.

And as mentioned the no compete deals are there to represent those who WWE doesn't raid due to their various contracts, mostly cause companies like ROH and Impact don't use exclusive deals, meaning WWE could raid their rosters at will.

I told you why last time, they are alliance titles, you have to book them as if they are alliance titles.

Yeah, just noticed it's due to the AEW and no doubt other guys being written but not exclusive. Ah well, my attention span has ran dry...stupid fucking game. haha It does though mean the game world will just stagnate surely, must be another way of doing it with written exclusives and loans with relationships to allow loan offers. Something that retains the ability to at least make an offer within the 30 day window if they're exclusive or can you still do that?

As for NJPW USA, there kind of is a promotion of sorts in that it has a roster, the young lions from the LA dojo are available to NJPW and they run shows in the USA and have NJPW Strong. But aye, utter ball ache to put together.

- Update Don Callis' Impact Gimmick to "Hidden Hand", Weasly/Underdog, Very Good, New. And tick Manager.

- Add Don Callis to AEW on a handshake deal and set as Kenny Omega's manager.  Manager and Colour Commentator ticked only.

- Add Kenny Omega to Impact Wrestling on an ongoing handshake deal.  Contract Began Dec 2020. Gimmick -- Heel, Cocky, Swagger, Very Good, Established. Manager Don Callis.  Also change him to a Heel in AEW.

- Add Ashley Lane to Impact Wrestling as Madison Rayne, set to Colour Commentry and Road Agent. Written Deal, began Nov 2017. Heel, Gimmick = Queen Bee, Swagger, Established. And set to default announcer with Josh Mathews. (There were news reports in the sheets she had left the business altogether, but clearly not as she commentated on genesis last night.)

- Set Cody Deaner to a Heel last turn recent. He's part of Eric Youngs stable now with Joe Doering not sure if they have a name though yet.

- Remove Ethan Page, his contract expired Dec 31st and he's now a free agent. He's also shut his online store, assuming thats a sign hes WWE/NXT bound.

- Add Blake Christian to Impact on a Handshake per show deal, began Jan 2021, ongoing. Babyface, traditional/standard gimmick

- Add KC Navarro to Impact on a Handshake per show deal, began Jan 2021, ongoing. Heel, Cocky, Swagger gimmick. He also needs a photo.

- Remove Alex Shelley from ROH he hasnt worked there for a year. He worked GCW and BLP in October if you want to add those alongside existing agreements with Impact and AIW, all handshake deals.

- Remove Rhino from RPW-UK, i cant find any record of him working there in 2020/2019 on cagematch unless im missing something. Alongside Impact he has been working JCW events in Michigan here and there.

- Remove Tasha Steelz from NWA, she made her final appearance there in may 2020

- Add Bill Goldberg to WWE under a written deal. Expires in 2 Years as it covers to end of 2022. Hes contracted for two appearances per year, so thats 4 remaining appearances to be set if now, if in feb update - id assume RR will count as one so 3.

Good point, taped in December it seems. I guess we'll find out at Hard To Kill PPV this month as it hasn't been taped. Expecting Matt Striker to take over duties if she is indeed gone but haven't seen any reference to her leaving on impact programming or her social media.

Please don't let Ashley Lane become the next Reno SCUM/James Mitchell, where every other month you suggest removing them and adding them back. If she's at the next PPV, I'll add her back.

As for Rhino,

https://www.cagematch.net/?id=2&nr=410&view=&page=4&gimmick=&year=&promotion=&region=Europa&location=&arena=&showtype=&constellationType=&worker=

But then again, for any promotion not running right now, you could viable axe half the roster.

LOL Hey im just reporting it as it happens. RENO and Mitchell left and then they came back. Impacts roster is a lot more volatile these days. She is still on the roster page on the website but yeah best waiting to see what Hard to Kill brings.

As for Rhino, one match in a year and given the pandemic highly unlikely he'll be back across the water, i'm removing it from mine, just personal preference I like it to be as real to life lol it would bug me if I left it.

Speaking of which - owners of impact being set to anthem and ROH being sinclair - any thoughts of revisiting that? I know it limits options for those promotions with regards broadcasting deals but isn't that true to life? They both insist on airing their shows in USA/CANADA on their respective owners channels.

Hello,

Apart from highlighting your work that i appreciate, i have 2 things to mention...

............................................

 - The first thing is about your ''Workers: January 2021'' file:

At least is only minor, but i do have found some errors in your pack. Just look at the following images:

About Lufisto:

https://ibb.co/FkQHPRs

About Matt Sydal:

https://ibb.co/hZsC7ty

* I don't think so, but is there a missing image file?

About Pete Dunne:

https://ibb.co/PZ9tZ4R

* Rename error and duplicate images

- The second thing is about the broadcaster logos updated. From the last month update, there was a ''BiggieEllefson'' who has post is broadcaster logos. Sorry for this kind of question, but i will make it short...  Did you add some of his broadcaster work to your broadcaster logos updated?

Link to post

So none of those images effect the main image, it's just filenames of the additional images, that's so minor I won't be fixing it, you'll just have to deal with it till the next update, probably around June.

For the broadcasters, of the few I still need to do they don't have an image set, they will when there is an image, so you'll have to manually set them.

So it appears there is a shakeup in commentary at Impact as per the below statement, Madison Rayne will "discuss her future" at Hard to Kill so assuming she is going to be retiring as was indicated in the sheets or shes coming back in an in ring capacity. Josh is now behind the scenes.

Set Matt Striker to Announcer and D'Lo Brown to announcer and colour commentator and company main announcers.

Set Josh Matthews to Road Agent/Personality

Add a deal to show events with Vubiquity, noticed they are another carrier of impact ppvs on the press release.

And we'll have to wait till Sunday to see what Madisons status will be.

Award-winning Wrestling Announcer Joins With Longtime Wrestler For New IMPACT Wrestling Broadcast Team

News / January 13, 2021 / by IMPACT Wrestling Staff

Josh Mathews Has Been Promoted To Behind-The-Camera Position; Updates On Madison Rayne Forthcoming

IMPACT Wrestling confirmed today that a new broadcast team will start on Saturday, Jan. 16, at the Hard To Kill pay-per-view, which will originate from Nashville, Tennessee.

Matt Striker will be IMPACT’s new play-by-play announcer, while D’Lo Brown will handle color commentary duties. The two also will be the announce team for the flagship weekly TV show, Impact!, airing every Tuesday from 8-10 p.m. ET, on AXS TV.

Josh Mathews, meanwhile, has been promoted to Senior Producer for the weekly TV show and all pay-per-views, and he also signed a new, multi-year contract with the company.  Madison Rayne, a 5-time Knockouts Champion who provided color commentary for most of 2020, will discuss her wrestling future this weekend at Hard To Kill.

“My play-by-play career has spanned nearly 20 years – from WrestleMania to Bound For Glory to incredible moments from IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV,” Mathews said. “Producing will allow me to have a bigger role in the overall production of our weekly show, PPVs and IMPACT+ Specials.

“This transition has been a great process, Matt and D’Lo are bringing a fresh energy and are ready to go.  It was a special year in 2020, and both Madison Rayne and I will always be grateful for the opportunity and look forward to these exciting changes.”

Striker, a former high school teacher, transitioned from wrestler to wrestling broadcaster for the WWE and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. He is a past winner of the Best Television Announcer Award, presented annually by the Wrestling Observer.

“I’ve always loved professional wrestling. It is a love that unites so many people,” Striker said. “Pro wrestling is a sport and I want to be mindful to call it as such. I’ve learned and grown so much since I began, and I thank the fans – and the critics – for that.

“It is not lost on me the opportunity that is before me – I can once again lend my voice to the sport that I love. In doing so, I’m poised to describe, analyze, and witness the most advanced athletes the sport has ever seen. I am excited, nervous, thankful, and humbled. I cannot wait to get out there. You will always be able hear the fan in me.”

Brown had an illustrious in-ring career with multiple singles and tag-team championships in numerous promotions worldwide, including the WWF European Championship (4 times), the
WWF Intercontinental Championship and the NWA World Tag Team Championship (with Gran Apolo).

“I’m very excited to join the IMPACT Wrestling broadcast booth and I know working alongside Matt Striker will be a lot of fun,” Brown said. “I believe in IMPACT Wrestling, with its amazing roster of skilled Superstars and Knockouts – and can’t wait to have the best seat in the house to call all the action.

“I’m humbled to follow the IMPACT broadcasting path of Don West and Mike Tenay, and most recently Don Callis, Madison Rayne and certainly Josh Mathews.  I’m beyond grateful for this opportunity.  I know there are big shoes to fill, but Striker and I will do our best.”

Striker and Brown will be ringside for the Hard To Kill pay-per-view, featuring one of the most-anticipated main event matches ever.  AEW World Champion Kenny Omega joins forces with IMPACT Tag Team Champions, The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson), to face the reigning IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann and the Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley).

Deonna Purrazzo puts the Knockouts Championship on the line at Hard To Kill against Taya Valkyrie, while a three-way battle for the X-Division Championship pits Rohit Raju vs. Chris Bey vs. reigning champion Manik.

HARD TO KILL will be available on Pay-Per-View in North America on Saturday, January 16 at 8pm ET/5pm PT on InDemand, DISH, DirecTV, Vubiquity, Rogers, Bell, Shaw, Sasktel. It will be available around the world digitally via FITE TV (pre-order NOW).

- Remove AJ Kirsch from MLW, hes announced hes a free agent now. Made an appearance on AEW Dark under the Joe Brody gimmick, so add him to AEW on a handshake deal. https://www.wrestlinginc.com/news/2021/01/aj-kirsch-announces-he-no-longer-with-mlw-679993/

- Add Gregory Shane Helms to WWE as a producer/ road agent under a written deal.

No problem. Like you said it's really minor, i am aware of this. It can be fixed later.

P.S.: Speaking about the worker image, i feeling cheap about my last month contribution. If only i know a ''free photoshop'' program that i can at least put some try on it and about your working process to put your ''worker images'' on this specific background.

So here is the update for February, the big news this month is that I have gone through every worker who had experience and have set their experience (number of matches they have had) on a scale of 0.2 exp per match, after planning on using a different formula, it was pointed out that that was closer to the in game set up so made sence. I used cagematch.net and wrestlingdata.com as the main sources, any wrestler not on these sites will have 0 experience. Along with that I have done a load of updated name changes, a few additions, as well as moving a few duplicate Chikara gimmicks from workers to alter egos, as well as removing a couple of duplicates, a full list of these can be found in the in notes in the editor. The only other big change has been working on some attributes, I'm open to suggestions and changes to the ones I've put, I want to try and give everyone a "can play" of "works better as" type of attributes. Beyond that it's just the usual changes for the month posted in the thread, anything missing post bellow.

      Here is the update.
Ace Steel, Alan Stone, Bear Fukuda, Bobby Dempsey, Bryce Donovan (the former Chase Donovan that Bill Demott drove out of NXT), Bret Hart, Christian York, Hailey Hatred, Hannibal, Hulk Hogan, Jimmy Rave, Josette Bynum, Jushin Liger, Kevin Nash, Kimberly Maddox, Manabu Nakanishi, Mick Foley, Nemesis, Pegasso, Scott Hall, Shadow Jackson, Shaggy 2 Dope, Steve Austin, Taeler Hendrix, Taiyo Kea, The Bruiser, The Godfather, The Great Khali, The King of the Yukon, The Rock, Tony Omega, Truth Martini and Violent J
Out of these, only Martini, Nash and Steel has been added as staff (Mick Foley hasn't been involved as an announcer in some time otherwise he would.)
WWE has had a decrease in image due to their ratings.
I increased the money for AEW, and advertising.
I removed APW, C4, CW, CZW, DEFY and SMASH from the game as these promotions haven't run since March the latest due to the Pandemic. When they do return, I'll be open returning the promotions to the game.
RISE has been renamed to SHIMMER since RISE hasn't run since November last year. The events remain empty.
Maria was added to ROH as a manager with a staff member gimmick as she maybe a staff member from her return but if people want to set her as a manager for Mike Bennett, I allowed for that.
Erick Redbeard will not be added to AEW unless he appears regularly. I attribute his appearance Wednesday on Dynamite as a part of the Brodie Lee Memorial.

Winter Has Arrived and with it a new EWR 4-2 update.
I have added several second generation personalities into the game who have become parts of the wrestling sphere. This would be Aliyah Mysterio, Colten Gunn and Hook.
AEW is up to date through Winter Is Coming.
WWE's newest singees are under WWE deals and under their existing names.
A few more AEW jobbers are in but they will not be in AEW in game unless they are consistent AEW jobbers or have won on Dark.
I have also added a number of the WWN Grindhouse wrestlers into the game.
Lowlife Louie and Danny Demanto are added back in as workers and Matt Tremont is now a staff (owner of H2O, which is not in the game.)

So here is the update for December, the big update this month is with the broadcasters, I've gone through and tweeked a few things and expanded and added a few new broadcasters, for Europe and Oceania I have added the broadcast country name into the title, along with expanding European broadcasters into all regions. Had a few personal issue this month so havent got round to finishing the logos which is why there is not an updated logo pack this month, I'm going to try and go all out and get the graphics and workers sorted for January. I've addeda few new workers this month, all listed in the editor, but I've also expanded the user characters, most variants of unknown owners/bookers, but I've also added an EWR throwback with Sophie making her return (picture file name Sophie_EWR). Other than that it's the usual updates for the month, not much suggested to update and due to my personal issue might have missed a few things so anything missed post and I'll try and get them in for January.
      Enjoy
