The official album chart isn't much better, the other day I found out ABBA's Greatest Hits has spent 1,000+ weeks in the chart.

The entire chart just proves rock music is being crippled by the industry, half of that list are songs older than me, one is a cover of a song that's older than me, and the other is by Pink Floyd so even though the song is new they're all old enough to be my grandad anyway.

I never said there was anything wrong with ABBA, it's just the charts don't move because of how they calculate things.

I believe it's mainly weighted towards physical sales still, with a number of streams then equal to a sale.

I went into a music store ala HMV the other day. It was like a journey into two decades ago. It was a bizarre mix of classic rock and safe modern acts (ala Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran).
