In the season 3 DVD, I'm up to the part where Stephen Saunders has ordered the president to kill Chapelle and deliver his body in the next hour.

I can't WAIT for Season 5 to get to the intensity level of that season. Incredible storyline.

That was one of the BEST hours I've ever seen in 24, or at least when the deadline finally hits. I also can't wait for it to get to that intensity.

Meh-ish quality screencap I ripped from the promo:

It could be Mandy, but wouldn't that a really lame way for her to get taken so early into the season? Kim makes the most sense, although I don't think it's that she's working with the terrorists. She could be undercover or something; just because she said she was going to work a desk job with the CIA doesn't mean it stayed that way after her dad "died".

Cummings sent in an assassin to kill Jack, who was let in by Spencer. Spencer was revealed as a mole, but he himself didn't know he was one, thinking he was working on a classified mission for the White House. Tony got out of surgery and Jack went to see him, but the assassin attacked before anything could be found out. CTU were convinced now that Cummings was a terrorist, but had no proof, so Jack went to bring him in as a rogue.

In the next episode, Jack called Mike and asked him to meet in secret. About the same time, Cummings got a call from that terrorist guy and agreed the best option was to reveal everything. He confessed to Logan, and revealed the real nature of the attacks; he had had a remote planted in the nerve gas so that it could be detonated before it reached the Russians. I can't remember all the details, but it would lead to the US having plenty of cheap oil for many years. Cummings thought he was being patriotic, but Logan demanded that he tell him where the nerve gas was. Walt didn't know, and told Logan that the best option was to let the attack happen and protect his public profile by arresting in Jack and Mike.

At the same time, CTU were close to uncovering the plot, and so were ordered to transfer everything to NSA and stop the investigation. They disregarded the order. Meanwhile, Jack and Mike were arrested, but with help from Aaron (the head of security guy) Jack escaped. He and Aaron grabbed Cummings and demanded to know where the cannisters were. Walt said he didn't know, so Jack threatened to cut out his eyes, and Cummings confessed they were in a dockyard tanker.

CTU were put back in play, and Logan told Jack he was stupid for believing that Cummings didn't know anything about the nerve gas location. Martha has fallen out with Charles for not believing her in the first place. A tactical team was sent to the dockyards, but when they opened the crates, the cannisters were gone.

I was kinda hoping Jack woulda went thru with gauging Walt, maybe that's just me. Be a traitor to your own nation for selfish gains, sure worth getting your eye getting stabbed out. That shit just seems brutal and intense, defintely deserving in this instance.

Anyone else feel the same way?

That guy likes em young. Ewwww.... Also, it comes as no surprise to me she shot him. That was coming from a mile away.

Oh, and does anyone think that guy who helped Lynn's sister mug him looks a little like Ramon Salazar? I doubt it, but hey ... I can dream for Matzat.

Can we end with the spoiler tags? I mean, I'm not sure if the 48 hour rule thing from The Ring transfers over here, but I dont think other countries are going to be getting 24 until months/weeks later, so it's pretty much pointless.

Yes, I'm just tired of having to click in every damn post. :(

It really was. Time filler the whole way; Walt commits suicide (or DID he? *Bum bum BUMMMMM*), Johnny McTerrorist kills the Auto Shop Guy once he's done with him, asshole rich guy gets the Alexis Drazen treatment.

On the plus side, the dynamic between the Logans and Mike is an interesting one and the Chloe/Edgar moment was gold (as they always are). Plus there's something to be said about watching Jack and Curtis fuck shit up. But still, definitely the weakest episode of 24 this season, but since it's just a filler/setup episode I give it a pass anyway.

Just bought the first 4 seasons on DVD, coupled with Season 5 I'm really starting to appreciate how good a show this is.

I always liked it since first watching the last half of Season 2 but now I really like and care about the characters. To a lot of people who only started watching, for example, the Edgar/Chloe/Spenser scene with Edgar smiling as Chloe had Spenser escorted out of CTU to me, was just gold, but to others would have maybe not had the same response.

Plus if Tony Almeida dies, so help me God, I may just shed a tear. One of the few characters that have been a big part in all seasons.

Holds up "Where the fuck is Kim?" sign.

Christ, who cares? Kim sucks.

Last night's episode was "meh" outside of Jack breaking that guy's neck. We need some action next week.
