Movies that give you chills

Once Hot Hands catches the ball and it cuts to his dad in the stands so pround.

There are probably a lot more, but I'd have to watch them to remember.

Ah so not scary films but films that make you well up?

I've cried in three films:

Schindler's List

when the women are put in the chamber (among other moments)

Thin Red Line

when he gets the letter from his wife saying she's left him, so he goes out to lead the enemy away from his batalion

Amelie

when she opens the door and he's there! And then the end music starts and they're on the bike and it's all happy and they're sticking out their tongues at the camera and she nestles into his back and stuff! Awwwwwwwwwww

I well up at lots of films these days. I blame getting older and being married.

The end of Blow always made me get all emo, when he sees his daughter. He just looks so distraught.

It's not a film, but in Scrubs series two when JD hooks up with you know who and they're all knocking stuff over and going at it gives me chills everytime.

I think the end of Spun is pretty sad, just shows a pretty softer side of The Cook aka Mickey Rouke.

That was my choice. I watched it in bed, in the dark, on my laptop. When it finished, I had to go and do something else before I went to sleep, as I was just kinda like ".....so......". Just totally stunned me.

In ROTJ when Anakin dies. I teared up after seeing it a few weeks after ATOC.

Trinity's death in The Matrix Revolutions was pretty somber.

Trinity's death was probably the most satisfying part of the last 2 movies, and at the same time, annoying. I mean, I was overjoyed she died, cus I couldnt stand her after the first one, and annoying cus it just went on and on.

As for movies that give me chills, the ending of Shawshank is always a good one.

And who doesnt get chills at the end of The Usual Suspects?

I get chills everytime I watch that scene in American History X where the guy gets stomped, and thats all I got to say just to keep all the gritty details. Theres also the scene in Star Wars Episode III with Anakin burning and Obi Wan letting it out and finally the scene where Luke in Episode IV says the line "I'm a Jedi...like my father before me" followed by the redemption of Vader. There are plenty more films but these are the ones that came to my mind first.

CSAMH the scene you mentioned in Schindler's List got me in quite a bit of trouble. Apparently cracking a joke about how they thought they were going to get gassed was inappropriate for a history classroom?

I always get chills before something badass is about to happen. It happens in almost any movie and I just get a shiver up my spine for some reason.

When they're all standing around the dying Vietnamese sniper, who turns out to be a girl, and Joker puts her out of her misery, shooting her. "Hardcore, man, hardcore".

As much as it has become an American cliche in movie cinema (not to mention modern legend in general), you need to see Pride of the Yankees at least once in your life. It's impossible not to get emotional at the end.

The crash scene in Cool Runnings -- as hackneyed as it was, I loved it.

Whoever said Rocky deserves a medal.

when the Gramercy Riffs let them walk away, showing the respect they have for how they managed to escape AND clear their name.

The last 20 minutes of "The Wizard of Oz" always gets to me. It gives me a shiver up my back, or make me shed a tear, its just one of the best movies ever.

This next movie is kinda geeky and childish, but the Digimon Movie. I was a huge fan as a kid. I own the movie on VHS, and I saw it last year again, and I still love it just as much. its one of my favorite animated movies.

The entire viewing of The Exorcist gets a shivering feeling around my entire body.

But most of the time its TV shows that really get to me. I can think of many examples off the top of my head:

-DBZ, Cell Games Saga, Trunks is killed

-DBZ, Cell Games Saga, Goku is killed

-DBZ, the entire series finale

-Roseanne, the last 10minutes of the series finale

-Roseanne, Dan's heart attack

-Supernatural, season finale I saw last week, the last minute in it

-Friends, the series finale
