Quite frankly, I'm sick of tired of hearing about the Yankees. But they are America's team, plain and simple. They have a huge fan base, and to ESPN that would sell more than the AL Central.

The AL Central doesn't get credit where it's due. The entire division features exciting baseball and great talents. Even the Royals have some good players worth watching in Butler, Teahen, and Gordon. Then we got phenom teams like the Indians and Tigers, good to see them doing good again.

The Cardinals weren't substandard last year as when they're on they have quite a few good offensive players (Edmonds, Pujols, Rolen with Eckstein leading off) but they aren't doing that great this year so far. Edmonds is definitely picking it back up after his PCS stuff and Pujols is starting to get back to form a bit (not totally, but he's slowly getting there) and Rolen, well, yeah he's not doing too great but he's shown signs of getting his game back up. Encarnacion is off the DL and hit his first HR last night. And Yadier Molina just had a 14 game (possibly more, last time I saw it was at 14) hitting streak. And not to mention last year they had a healthy Carpenter, a sub-healthy Mulder (who's been nothing but hurt since he got to St. Louis unfortunately, though), Suppan, and Marquis (a solid 4th option) but they don't have any of those players in their rotation at the moment (Carpenter and Mulder are hurt and Suppan and Marquis have gone to other NL Central clubs) so that's a bit part of why they're struggline. Anthony Reyes, who had a good year last year just didn't seem to get anything going this year which is why he's now in the minors. Wainwright has been decent and Looper's been surprisingly above average. They're not a substandard team by any means, it's just they're hurt now and it makes them look like they are/were.

All of that being said, I think it'll be hard for them to win the NL Central because the Brewers have a farily favorable schedule heading up to the All-Star Break, but if Milwaukee keeps playing like they have recently, it could be a close race at the end of the year if all the Cardinals players start playing like they can.

I was surprised to hear that the Blue Jays were still in a position to become hot and compete for a playoff spot. Winning 3 of 4 from the White Sox is big for the team, and they seem to be finally warming up.
