For those waiting for actual information about the gameplay, you won’t have to wait much longer because the May issue of Game Informer will have a 10 page cover story of GTA IV.

Awesome looking cover... that's a huge exclusive for them to get ahold of as well. For the big GTA freaks, this issue should be out in about three weeks.

I hope they add a feature to let you listen to music outside of the car, since I probably spend 80% of the game outside of cars it sucks to only be able to listen to the radio station the other 20%

Heh. MP3 players in GTA.

Speaking of, a custom radio station would be nice. I'd love to be able to travel around, listening to my own jams.

Which makes me begin to wonder, has the X-Box 360 really utilized this for any games released? Or rather, gaming companies? It seems the games I have don't have the "play your music instead of in game music" feature.

Some games on the Xbox allowed you to have custom soundtracks (racing games, etc). Never had GTA games on the Xbox, so I don't know about those.

However, ALL 360 games allow 'custom soundtracks' now. So I have no doubt GTA4 will have custon soundtracks on the 360 version. As well as the exclusive downloadable content.

Let's look at how horribly written this article is:

The latest version of an ultraviolent video game will unleash its murderous mayhem on the streets of New York.

In its first trailers released this week, Grand Theft Auto is set in a mythical city that bears a striking resemblance to New York.

Well then it's not really unleashing its murderous mayhem on the streets of NY now, is it?

In previous incarnations, players advanced through the game by killing cops, selling pornography to children and killing prostitutes.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can advance through an entire GTA game by never killing a cop or a prostitute, correct? And the selling pornography to children? I don't even know where they came up with that bullshit. There are no kids in GTA games...

"The mayor does not support any video game where you earn points for injuring or killing police officers," said Jason Post, a spokesman for Mayor Bloomberg.

Why should the mayor be supporting any video game? Is Crash Bandicoot running for city council?!

Goddamn, I wish I could write for the New York Daily News. It appears you don't have to maintain any semblance of objectivity in your writing, I'd love to tackle real issues with that kind of journalistic freedom.

I'm pretty sure in all of them it's impossible to do so.. I can only think back to San Andreas and the portion where you're in the hotel and the cops raid it.
