To answer the question, you can play them on the PS3 but unless you have the thing that lets you use a PS2/PS1 memory card on a PS3, you'll have to start with new game saves.

Thanks very much. (Y)

Freya's cool... but, to my shame, I did mean Fran. <_<

I'll add my own Necron story. First time I got to him, I had immense trouble keeping my characters alive. Every tim I'd revive one, they'd go down and as a result I was doing precisely zero damage, trying to keep more than one person up and healthy. So I stopped doing that, and figured that I'd just go until Necron killed my final character. Which he never did.

Eiko had auto-regen, and his 'Smash the planets!' type attack took so long to animate, that after Eiko was reduced to 1 HP, the only damaging attack he had took so long to animate, that by the time it actually hit her for around 1500 HP, her regeneration had pushed her HP over it where she could survive.

So I summoned Maudeen over, and over, and over, and over again, because Eiko couldn't die.

So the end boss of FFIX was taken out, singlehandedly, by a 10 year old little girl.

Benji, in Cerobi Steppe kill lots of the Coeurls, and you'll eventually get some Embroided Tippets, if you can get three than yay. They give double EXP, which is insanely helpful throughout. I don't think I've ever dequipped them. Ever.

Levelling up is a major bitttttch tho. After talking with Benji the other day, I had an urge to whip out the PS2 again, and I still need to get Basch, Fran and Balthier up to the mid-70s to match my other guys. It's annoying, and it seems to only place good enough to level up is Giruvegan, and I can't stand that place. The beastlies are pretty easy, and all offer up 1000 EXP each, but good god it's such an annoying place. I want a change of scenery, somewhere where the monsters are similar, but it's not so sodding dark and ugly.

And don't suggest Great Crystal, the Coeurl type things (can't remember the exact name right now) are massive bastards.
