I like the tactical element of the game, but it could have been more fun considering the premise.

When I first played it on PS2, I really really struggled with him, can't remember why.

This time I think my stats are just too low, but yeah I've legitimately never beaten him.

Gonna re-try it after I finish a 100% playthrough on FFX-2, and if I can't beat him then definitely just gonna do a new playthrough.

So I did the Don Tonberry trick, leveled up a bunch. Dark Vaelfor destroyed me first attack. Welp, not getting Yuna's celestial weapon. Or Anima.

Attached my current PC save, found a tutorial on converting PS3 saves to PC. Reversing it brings PC saves to PS3. Not exactly what you're looking for, but looking up how to convert PC to PS4 directly isn't giving up anything. But assuming you've got access to a PS3 and the version that came with it, you can use the cross-save thingy to get it to work on the PS4

Got everyone's celestial weapons barring Wakka's maxed out, all aeons. Dark Valefor is totally doable on this by using two Delta Attacks.

Haha, all good. I just decided to say screw it and go for Sin.

I also learned today that people can play this game without using the spheregrid, which is insane to me. I think only two of the monsters are impossible to beat like that. People are crazy.

Reading this thread has reminded me that I still haven't played more than literally five minutes of X-2...which is nonsense considering that not only do I have the FFX/X-2 Remaster, but I fucking platinumed FFX as well.

TBH I had forgotten that I even owned X-2. That's how little of an impression it's ever made on me.

Same. I've never played X-2 and have never had any desire to. I figured I'd pick it up when I got the X platinum. And then I never did because that platinum almost killed me and if I ever have to look at a fucking sphere again I might just end it all.

I've been told X-2 is good cheesy fun. I played like 5 minutes of it back when it first came out and I own it as part of the remastered collection but haven't taken the time to actually play it.

Plus, it's the last time the job system was used in FF. Which I love.

I always just assumed that FFX-2 was for people who wanted to play Final Fantasy one handed.

I don't know, but there's a trophy for it so if I want the Platinum I need to know
