What do you reckon are/were the biggest songs of this decade? Not necessarily the best songs, but the ones that people would look back on and remember clearly.

In case you need to know why I'm making this topic, I wanna make a CD, but I was looking for a few more opinions.

So far I've come up with:

'Chasing Cars', by Snow Patrol;

'Hero', by Enrique Iglesias;

'You're Beautiful', by James Blunt;

'Teenage Dirtbag', by Wheatus;

'Rock DJ', by Robbie Williams.

What others d'you reckon? I'm sure there'll be some clashes of opinion here, but we'll see.

Umbrella, About You Now, Heartbroken

Some of the biggest songs of not only 00's but last year. Umbrella specifically. Possibly come 2010 could it theoretically have been the biggest song of the decade, and in my eyes there's 3 years to knock it off.

Shit...Rock DJ was this decade? Weird.

It's been a sad couple of years for big songs the past few years, Umbrella, About You Now and James Blunt being big I have major issues with, but such is life.

I'm thinking Rockstar will be a hell of a lot more memorable than 'This is How...'.

Clearly DJ Sammy - Heaven.

Even I liked that song.

Britney Spears - Toxic was played to death, so I assume people probably liked it ¬_¬

White Stripes - 7 Nation Army, Icky Thump

Coldplay - Clocks

Black Eyed Peas - Where Is The Love?

Justin Timberlake - Cry Me A River

Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Out Of My Head

Avril Lavigne - Complicated (or Skater Boy, whichever)

Bodyrockers - I Like The Way You Move

The Killers - Mr. Brightside

Take Me Out by KillerFranz RazorPatrol. Let's face it, they're all the same band, and I can't remember which version of them did that song :P

Also got to add Feel Good Inc and Crazy by Gnarls Barkley. You could not get away from these songs when they came out. Crazy was a good song as well, but it was ruined by the 25th time it was sandwiched between Rihanna and then talked about by people who thought that Gnarls Barkley was the one person.
