Opinionated Compilation Of 100 Bands

Radiohead's musically a lot better then Metallica (or most bands on the list), but in terms of longevity, impact, importance, theres no doubt that Metallica surpass them.

I.... I.....

I can't believe I actually agree with SeanDman.... I love Radiohead, don't get me wrong, and on a personal list, they are 100 bands above Metallica, but Metallica's boom on music is amazing. They inspired so many metal bands, on the word of most of the famous rockers, when asked about their favorite bands, pretty much all of them would say "Metallica" and rarely, someone would say bands like "Radiohead" or "Muse" or hell "Foo Fighters"

The list is all wrong, but meh, no record sales were taken seriously, so it's just a popular bands list.

This is fucking crazy. If anyone can seriously post that they think Nirvana are even in the Top 100 greatest bands of all-time based not only on your music tastes, but also historically, then I'm leaving EWB. I'll go to a board that isn't filled with Kurt Cobain faggots.

Fixed :shifty:

Let's get married.

And yeah, I can agree with the list Jam posted much more.

Top 5 Bands (Not on a personal level)

1. The Beatles

2. The Rolling Stones

3. Led Zeppelin

4. The Clash

5. RUN-DMC

Any combination of the 5 would do. If you want to look at the bands who have released the best quality, influenced the most amount of people and managed to change the way we listen and view popular music, than these 5. Heck, that is missing some of the biggest like Buddy Holly, Elvis, Rick James, Chuch Berry, New York Dolls, Iggy Pop, the list goes on and on.

My personal top 5.

1. Refused/International Noise Conspiracy

2. Beastie Boys

3. The Clash

4. Operation Ivy

5. Outkast

But of course, that isn't including lots and lots of my favorites.

Personal Top 5:

1. Iron Maiden

2. Metallica

3. Slayer

4. Pantera

5. Children of Bodom.

Yes, I am a metalhead. But I can appreciate that Radiohead have had some good songs, some very good songs in fact, I wouldn't think them in top 20, but I can understand why people think them number one.

Nirvana however.....

RADIOHEAD!

Good. That made me laugh long and hard.

I love Radiohead and I'm glad that (although I don't think they ARE the greatest group in musical history - and of course this wasn't about greatest groups) they won because that goes to show that there's more to life than emo and metal.

I just imagined the look on everyone's faces and that made me chuckle.

And Kid A & Amnesiac were amazing albums.

Not to mention OK Computer, The Bends, Pablo Honey and Hail To The Thief of course but still...

OWANGE

Opinionated compilations: For bringing people closer together.

And Muse at 4, Beatles 8, Pink Floyd 10, Bowie at 13, Pixies 15, The Doors 16...

I salute the overall voting afterall. Good work all of you.
