Merson's a legend. He was talking about how much of a risk it is for WBA to have Phillips in the Premiership last year because he isn't sure whether he can still cut it.

Once they settled in I thought it was a good showing by West Brom. Arsenal weren't at their best but the result went as expected. Good match to open the season with. Now let's hope Spurs demolish Boro.
