I'll say what I said at another board: I think Cutler may have come into contact with some stuff left behind in the locker room at Soldier Field and has been infected, giving him a bad case of Rex Grossman's Disease. Also known as Interception Fever.

Maybe he thought he was wearing number 8 or something, I don't know. He had some moments of sheer brilliance, like at the end of the third quarter when he faked out Lawton and waited till the last possible second to make a pass for the first. But so many boneheaded decisions, three of those picks he was definitely responsible for (I'll let him off the Hester trip and the last one that was just good defense), but that's still inexcusable from a guy who's supposed to be in the upper echelon for QBs. He didn't have much help from the running game - the O-line really needs to get its shit together, but the defense played well enough that even just two more field goals would have won it, and that really shouldn't be much of an ask.

It's surely looking like we overpayed for him. It's also looking like a lot of this coaching staff needs to go. Benson and Orton have both flourished since leaving Chicago, so it's either a shitty offensive scheme, or coaches just not getting enough out of their players.

Its definitely the coaches. Fran Tarkenton ripped Cutler for that performance, but believes it's more a matter of the coaches not playing to his strengths. Jay Cutler is a talented QB, we know this, Chicago just needs to get serious about building around him if they want him to be successful. You can only do so much when your number 1 receiver is a converted corner and return specialist.

Miami vs. Tampa. Michael Clayton catches the ball..gets tackled and as he gets up he lets go of the ball..it was picked up by miami and they ruled it a fumble...Though he was clearly down..play was reveiwed and they still called it a fumble

Let me start by saying I was under no impression that the Cowboys would be winning this game at all by the time the 4th quarter rolled around. However, fuck Mike McCarthy and fuck the referees for interrupting that drive and basically giving Green Bay a free time out off a challenge they didn't fucking have. There goes any offense rhythm the Cowboys might have had, because Larry Triplet's head is too far up his fucking ass to realize he shouldn't be going anywhere near the fucking hood. How is that not some sort of penalty, or at the very least, how does that not cost Green Bay a time out? Complete and utter shady fucking bullshit that disrupted the drive.

Also, fuck you Jason Garrett. It's fan-dabi-dozi to have an offensive coordinator who thinks throwing at the likes of Champ Bailey and Charles Woodson is a good idea. What a fucking offensive genius he is. At this point I want to see Garrett go more than Wade Phillips as it's painfully obvious he has no fucking clue what to do with this offense. For the majority of the game it was 0-0, or 3-0 and the Cowboys running backs carried the ball a combined 11 times. What the fuck? Perhaps that had something to do with us barely having possession for 15 minutes.

So I was at Heinz Field covering the Steelers/Bengals game for my blog on NFL.COM today. It was really cool. Even though it was a loss for the Steelers it was an overwhelmingly awesome experience.

Good win for Cincy.
