Round 2: Nerfing The Investigator

01. Sousa (The Legend of Zelda: A Mafia to the Past):

Link, I can rely on only you. Please make this old man's wishes come true. I beg you!

You are Sahasrahla, Hyrule-Aligned Elder of Kakariko Village in Hiding. You are an invaluable resource for information about the land of Hyrule, the mysterious Dark World, and the growing threat that the forces of darkness pose. In his time of need, when all options have failed, Link turns to you for advice. Though you have hidden yourself safely in the hills near the Eastern Palace, you can still communicate with Link telepathically, and from the deepest dungeons to the most far-flung worlds, Link relies on your sage advice.

Your sagacious wisdom and telepathy will be put to good use here. Each night, PM me the name of two other players: one to investigate, and one to receive the results of your investigation. You will discover what you know about the first player--a role name and alignment--and you will reveal that information to the second. You will also receive this information, and you may act on it if you wish.

Keep in mind, however, that the evil wizard Agahnim knows the threat your knowledge poses; as such, you have chosen to keep your location a secret. You must be careful not to reveal yourself to Agahnim, as no person in Hyrule will be able to find you and help you should danger arise.

You win if the legendary Hero defeats the forces of evil and peace returns to Hyrule.

MOD NOTE: No action from other town players--including protection--will affect Sahasrahla; only scum kills can target him. Should he attempt to send a result to a Mafia member, the don will become aware of his identity.

02. Ruki (Video Games)

You are James Bond, Town Aligned, Super Spy With A Super Sore Throat.

You're all about the killing, the drinking, the cars, the action, and the hot sex with the hot girls....who usually end up dying, oops! Being a super secret spy, you are going to use your abilities to find out information on your fellow town-mates. But there's a problem, that "girl" you brought home the other night apparently had a bad case of the throathurtsalotitis and she gave it to you....but the jokes on her, because you gave her Spy AIDS. But you're James Bond! A silly sore throat won't stop you...right?

Each night you may PM the name of a player and you will put on your swank suit and go..."question" them about their alignment. But the downside is, you won't be home getting the rest you need. As such, if you use your ability you will not be able to speak or vote for the next day. If you do, you will blow out your vocal chords, putting you into the hospital and making you lose your ability AND the ability to talk...permanently.

You win when all threats to the town are eliminated.

PS: If you get targeted by a hot girl (read: any) you will instead have sex with them rather than go out and do spy things.

03. Pleatherface (Cartoons)

The small yet somehow extremely industrious town of... Town.. Has been stricken with fear, organized crime plagues it's streets, everyday citizens are forced to cow down to vicious, ruthless gangsters, and corrupt politicians. Resistance sees the loss of life, property, and dignity.

The suffering must come to an end, and you alone possess the analytical mind to ferret out the evildoers and free the proud citizens of town from the mafia's oppressive clutches.

News of your forthcoming arrival has spread and the town already speaks your praises..

"I heard he invented time travel, went into the past and single-handedly took down Al Capone!"

"I heard he always gets his man!"

"I heard he thwarted an assassination attempt on the Queen of England!"

"I heard he's a giant chicken..."

That guy didn't last very long.

You are Chicken Boo, Town Aligned Master Detective That's Also a Chicken.

You're applauded for your clever disguises, aswell as your general mastery of every skill set known to man, on this occassion you've chosen to disguise yourself as a Master Detective named "Boolock Holmes", unfortunately this disguise isn't very clever and upon close inspection people may notice you're actually a 6 ft. chicken.

Each night you may pm me the name of a player and you'll use your detective skills to find out exactly who they are and who they're working for, in hopes of discovering the nefarious mafioso hiding amongst the townsfolk.

Be warned however, if your identity as a giant chicken is revealed to the general public, you'll be cast out no matter how helpful you've been.

This means keeping a tight beak, and resisting the urge to say "Hey, I'm a giant chicken... Bwwaaak."

You win, when all threats to the town are eliminated.

Mod Notes: Player is automaticly lynched if his role is claimed, or revealed to the town by an external source. A single player investigating him does not eliminate him, but if this person posts his role in the thread, Boo's disguise will falter and the town will turn on their poultry protector.

04. SeanDMan (Theme Undecided) did not send anything in, and so has automatically used his SKIP chance.

05. LCS (Famous Britons) did not send anything in, and so has been booted from this competition.

06. Matt (Bands/Artists)

D may indeed be for dangerous, but it's also for detective... You're dangerous to the mafia because you can discover their true identity and out them in the thread, however you may become a danger to your own cause as innocent townies may not take well to being snooped on.

Each night you may send me the name of a player you wish to investigate, however, if you do, be sure that you're confident that this player is not aligned with you because if not, you may hinder the town.

The MMA media is still a growing beast, but you're there in the thick of it. Somehow, certain MMA websites are finding out what matches are going to take place long before they're officially announced. Your boss is determined to find out where the leak is coming from - and since he's on the warpath, you're not about to tell him that it's you. But you're going to keep it up - always good to have contacts in the industry, right?

Each night, you may PM me with the names of two players. The full role title and alignment of the first player will then be sent to the second. I know you'd like to see the results first, but this is the life you've chose - you don't break the news, you just send it to those who do. Remember to use discretion - if you send some information to a player on less-than-friendly terms with you, you might just find yourself exposed.

You have gotten Vince McMahon to job many a superstar, from Shane Douglas to Cruiserweights, and you will continue doing this, but still have the company's best interest at heart. In fact, Vinnie Mac will trust you with just about anything. With that said, with the WWF under attack, you will do anything to stop this invasion of WCW stars. So, every night you may psuh Vince McMahon to the limit, to find out who one player is.

You and your Degeneration X colleagues, Triple H and Chyna, may communicate outside of the WWF. However, if you find the New Age Outlaws, you will change your ways, and become faces. You and D-Generation X win when you find the New Age Outlaws, or when all threats to the town are eliminated.

Mod Note: Sometimes, Michaels will push Vince too far, causing McMahon to fire him and the superstar he is trying to find out dirt about. There is a 25% chance of this happening.

09. TEVOL (UNTHEMED)

You are the FBI Agent, Town Aligned Undercover Investigator. Unbeknownest to... well, everyone, you have been sent to investigate the growing Mafia syndicate operating out of Smalltown, USA. The Bureau sent you to infiltrate the Mafia, and your contact (NAME) has allowed you into the gang. Obviously new members don't get told everything, and it'll take you a little while to acquire the information you need. What's most important of all, however, is that your cover isn't blown, because if it is, it's over.

Each night, you receive the name of one member of the Mafia. Also, because the Mafia believe you to be one of them, you are immune to being nightkilled. However, if you vote for anyone you know to be Mafia or directly out anyone in the game thread as being Mafia, you will instantly lose your nightkill protection, and any doctors who try to protect you from being killed will die with you.

You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.

10. FD (Disney Channel Originals)

You are Sonny Monroe, West High Aligned New Girl and Star of So Random!

Ah Demi. You've come a long way from 2006 and your bit part in Prison Break, haven't you? A break-out role in Camp Rock may have left you hated by millions of American teens who wanted the Jonas brothers for themselves but it also went a long way to bagging you your own television show on the Disney Channel about you starring on the television show, So Random! And with that brings the wondrous news that half the world have no idea which name is your real name.

Anyway... Back in-character...

Given your late arrival to West High School, you've got a lot to learn about the rest of the kids in the class with you. They've mostly known each other since kindergarten, are brothers or are just so sweet nobody could ever hate them; but sadly you are sort of lost on who exactly they are. Thankfully, after the bell goes at the end of the day, you don't mind asking some questions and prodding people for answers on who they are. Not in an aggressive way, you just want to scope people out, get to know them and be-friend them.

Every afternoon after school, you may PM me the name of one player that you will have a chat with. You'll approach them and their friends as you all head for the bus home. You'll talk to the person you mean to talk to and anyone else that is around them, but sadly you're not great at remember nicknames and you may forget who is who once you've asked all your questions.

You win when all threats to West High School have been eliminated.

Mod Notes

Player will get the result of the person they target and the result of any other players that also interacts with that player during the night (be it who the target uses their ability on or anyone who also goes after the original target).

The results will provide no indication on who is who. If no-one else interacts with the target, the investigator will only get one result.

11. DFF (Science Fiction)

Bored by the limitless restraints of your power, you have often seeked entertainment aboard

numerous star fleet vessels, putting them in sticky situations and seeing if and how they resolve them.

That being said, it is evident that you have a soft spot for the humans and their 'tiny little minds'.

Now you have found yourself a new Captain in Zan-Luc Picard and a new ship in the U.S.S. Battleground.

They have found themselves in a tough spot and you thought it might be best if you lend a hand.

Well, in a round-about sort of way.

As such, each night phase you will PM me the name of two players. You will inform the former of the latter's character and alignment.

There is, however, a drawback. Both players will be easier to be lynched in the following day phase.

After all, you can't just give them something for nothing, right? Where's the fun in that?

The exact number will not be known to anyone - even yourself.

There is one, final, downside. If Captain Zan (or any subsequent acting Captain) votes for you on three separate days then you will leave them alone (and the game), insulted at the lack of respect shown for you.

You win when all threats to the U.S.S. Battleground are eliminated

14. Marcos (The Cube's Greatest Characters)

You are Domovoi Butler, Great Cube Characters Aligned, Saviour Of All.

The first member of the Domovoi family to grace the shores of Dinosaurs, you became the hero of the story as you cast down your life to save everyone else. What people do not remember though is your computer working abilities and that will come into your favour in the battle against those trying to usurp you and the other great characters of the Cube’s past. Each night, you may PM me with the name of a single member, and you will hack into their computer and due to the hi-tech era we now live in, will be able to find out whether that member is Mafia aligned or not.

However, you have a drawback to this ability. When you receive the alignment of that person, should you wish to broadcast that information, then you will die as soon as you have issued this information. The choice is your though, find one member of the mafia, broadcast it and die, or keep the info to yourself , hoping to catch more members of the mafia, but also running the risk of losing it all if night killed.

You will lay down your life to save this town from the threats, but be careful, as picking the wrong time could leave your death in vain.

You win when you lay down your life, and all threats to the town are removed.

15. Norro (Famous Websites)

You are Snopes.com, Internet Aligned Mythbusters of the Internet. Made as a website first to debunk those annoying forwarded messages everyone gets in their e-mails ("This girl drowned in Dakota and now her spirit is angry"), you've evolved over time into something truly incredible by comparison. Taking everyday myths, old wives tales, common misconceptions and the like and putting them to the test, you have made a name for yourself as the #1 source on the internet for truth, justice, and... all that other stuff associated with good.

Your reputation as a do-gooder and researcher however is exactly what will put you in danger today. With the internet at war, you realize that you will be a fast and popular target should you let yourself be revealed... so be sure to stay on the down-low. There's a reason why you'd be a popular target, after-all... just look at what you can do at night:

During the night turn, you may research information on a player. Researching will give you a small bit of information related to the identity of the player; however, should you so choose, you may continue research on the player for an additional night, and receive additional information in the process (including an alignment or a role name).

It's up to you to decide how to handle yourself at night, however... will you go with what little info you can gather on a player in one night, or will you dedicate your studies to them to find out more? The choice is yours.

You are the person to talk to if you want to know something. You know everything there is about real wrestling. You are the man people look for if they want to know a good match, a good wrestler or anything good about wrestling. So with your vast knowledge, you are vital to the town and finding out all those fake wrestlers. You will know who is real and who is fake, just by getting a look at them. But you aren’t willing to risk going out and getting yourself killed.

All in all, this means that instead of you going out to investigate everyone, they come to you. Each night if someone uses an ability that affects you, you will get their name and their alignment.

You win once all threats to True Wrestling have been pinned.

Mod Note: The first player to send in an ability targeting this player will be the player and alignment he receives. If it is a kill, it will obviously kill him.

Because LCS has been eliminated, only 1 other player will be fed to the sharks this round.

Round 3: The Non-Survivor

Individual-Aligned roles are a bit of a hit-or-miss thing on EWB. It's hard to create a role that's fun to play as, without being too easy or too hard to win as. So for your next challenge, I want you to come up with an Individual aligned role with a unique set of victory conditions. You're free to come up with any ability or win condition, except for Serial Killers, Survivors, and Cult Recruiters. I'm ok with you trying to make a Seeker-type role though, if you're not worried about pissing -A- off.

Here's an example from The Tick Mafia:

You are Blowhole, World Record-Aligned Long-Distance Running Whale. You're a legend around these parts, having previously jumped on land to run from the Pacific to the Atlantic, only to reappear thirty years later to run back to the Pacific. Now, ten years later, you're out to do it again, in part for more press and in part to move more copies of your upcoming memoirs, Blow It Out Your Hole: Life as a Whale on the Run.

You're going to start at the top of the player list, and each night, you'll run past that player. Your job is to run past every player remaining in the game, so getting players arrested or run out of town who are near the bottom of the list will work to your advantage. All you've gotta do is survive, and you'll make it through The City in no time.

Thanks to a new breakthrough in technology in the future, criminals are now caught before the crimes they commit.

Each night, you may PM me the name of one player to focus your precognitive abilities on. You will receive that players full role name and alignment. If that player is a part of the mafia group or has ANY kind of killing ability (even a one off) you will be unable to vote for anyone else during the next day period.

Furthermore, that night’s write-up will broadcast to the rest of the players your intentions (i.e. PLAYER A WILL KILL PLAYER B TONIGHT!)

During this day phase, it will take half the required vote total to lynch you because of the tremendous faith in the Precog system.
