The easiest way is to win is take the turnbuckle cover off and use an Ultimate Control Move to repeatedly smack Ortons head into it, that should damage his head enough to keep him down when u hit Sweet Chin Music. As for JBL, I've found an easy way to get rid of the people that interfere in RTWM matches. If you leave the ring til JBL comes after you, then get back into the ring he will stay on the outside, allowing you to finish Orton off in peace

I was able to do it, by hitting SCM right as JBL came out, and making the pin while he was blathering. Maybe I was just lucky though.

HBK RTWM Weeks 1-3 spoilers;

This is my first time ever playing in the RTWM mode, as I didn't have the game last year. I liked the opening video (not sure if it's the same for everyone when you start) and the fact that they showed you the ending of CM Punk vs. JBL in week 2, then alluded to it in week 3.

But the match with JBL is ridiculous. Orton keeps preventing the ref from making the count. I've been on the outside and beat him up a little (although he hasn't got any offense in on me, does that matter?) but he keeps taunting and the ref doesn't pay any attention to my covers.

What got me was the fact that after he slid in the chair, I was able to happily swing away with it, so I assumed it was no DQ. I later got DQ'd though, so it appears that when the ref isn't facing you, it's fair game to use weapons, which is great because I was asking about it before the game got released. I'm not sure if the same applies in modes outside of RTWM, but I would guess it does.

I saved and exited RTWM after the DQ loss, so I'm not sure if I'll have to re-play the match or not, but I expect to. Any tips in particular? I'm hitting the signature/finishing move fine and pretty much dominating, but can't ever end it because of that bastard on the outside. :@

Also, I got inducted into the HoF with Swagger after defending the World Title 3 times. I haven't played the "paths" for the IC, Hardcore or Cruiser titles yet, but is there much point? I asked Liam if there were any unlockables for doing everything in Career but he was unsure.

You have to tweak with the sliders A LOT to get a satisfactory result.

It seems he wont stop sliding chairs in until JBL gets to hit you once. That was my experience anyway. I hit him like a dozen times and chairs kept coming so I let him pop me once and it stopped right away. As far as the pinning. I knocked him off the apron and he stopped

Ok I changed the sliders a bit and finally ended up winning in under 4 minutes!

I also finished the story and I dont like all the run ins. My big retirement match ended up being a shitty tornado tag match because Jericho and HHH wouldnt leave. Oh and does anyone know if the unlockables or anything are different whether I accept the match right away or not? I refused and would rather not do it again if I dont have to

Has anyone who has played career for a decent amount of time, after you get over 80 points, has it seemed like the difficulty been upped on you? It seems that way to me. After being able to get my finishers quickly and finish them off relatively quickly, now it takes a while and tons of reversals. I even struggled against Evan Bourne in the cruiserweight title path, having lost twice to him in a ladder match when I was able to defeat him with ease in either the IC or US, whichever one it was. Seems weird.

Yeah, I had the same problem. Got the ECW, US, and Intercontinental, which were easy. Then I got over 80 and went to the cruiserweight path, and I was getting reversed almost all the time until I got some offense in. Even then they would usually reverse my signature/finisher moves frequently.

They really went all out this year with Legend difficulty. Even with the sliders modified some, R-Truth reversed my finisher about 4 times before I could finally hit the damn thing. Not to mention the fact that if I face anyone who should be atleast a slight challenge, the matches tend to go for about 10 minutes. Christian/Shelton Benjamin went to 10 before the cunt pinned me after reversing my throw into turnbuckle (to set up signature move) and hitting some shitty move afterwards. Kofi Kingston/John Morrison was going awesome and I was enjoying playing as Kofi until Jack Swagger hit the ring and fucked me over royally. Bad times. I've actually turned off Interference now as it seems to just end up ruining my matches, as I'll never have someone come out and interfere on my behalf/attack the other guy that's interfering.

Still not played any of the RTWM's, do I have to go through multiple times to unlock everything then? I'm a bit through CAW RTWM but just couldn't be bothered to continue once Khali became undefeatable.

The thing I noticed about RTWM in terms of unlocking everything is that you need to save before the points where you have to make a choice. You can unlock either one item or the other depending on who/what you choose. For example:

Orton's RTWM:

Save right before your big match at Wrestlemania. If you pin Cody Rhodes, Dusty challenges you afterwards and you have to KO him to unlock him. If you pin Dibiase, Sr. challenges you afterwards and you have to KO him to unlock him.

Mickie's RTWM:

Depending on who you choose, Kendrick or Natalya, two things will happen. If you choose Kendrick, you have to win the match in Week 10 with minimal damage. If you choose Natalya, in week 12 you have to win the match without using a signature or finishing move.

I gave in and bought them game instead of waiting until Christmas. I'm having a lot of fun with it, I enjoy the create a wrestler mode and am not too bothered by the point system. One gripe is that there are no camoflauge pants, they have shorts, but no pants? I'm also not fond of the fact that I can seem to put wrestling boots on my wrestler while he's wearing pants, the boots stick out from the pants. It's weird. Not being able to edit downloaded CAW's suck, and I had the same thought as Zero, letting you edit them and not re-upload them would be perfectly fine with me.

But otherwise, I am enjoying it quite a bit. I really do like the create a wrestler, despite my two minor complaints I've been able to make some really cool CAWs with awesome entrances, finishing moves, and entrance videos. It is rather time consuming but I still find enjoyment in making some of the tweaks here and there. I love that my CAW's can come out to Motorhead, Electro Hippies, or whatever weird shit I have laying around.

I haven't messed too much with the CAS other than having Vince McMahon fire two doctors and telling them to get the fuck out of his ring. Juvenile shit like that.

The gameplay is pretty cool, it's not a hard game to pick up and play if you are familiar with some of the past Smackdown games. I'd say it's my favorite since HCTP, with that being my second favorite after Smackdown 2. I have to give this game some more time, but I think it could become my favorite of the series.

As for you guys talking about making a list of good downloadable CAWS, I like that idea. From what I've got, I've found a pretty good Vader with his Mastadon Helmet for entrance attire, and a good Big Poppa Pump (current). The movesets aren't half bad either, I can't remember who made them though unfortunately.

What's everyone's opinion on their fave RTWM story this year? I'll go with the popular choice and play that next.

I've only played HBK's up to now and it annoyed me as much as I enjoyed it if I'm honest. I don't think I could've taken JBL's shit voice acting much longer. There were times when he was talking that I wished there was text going along the bottom of the screen.
