The show has already been renewed for series two, guaranteeing 35 episodes. I wonder if I can have some of what the FOX executives are smoking...

The fact is, it's a bit like WWE - people buy into whatever Seth MacFarland produces and he is able to sell that concept to FOX. FOX know they're going to get a similar kind of audience and some good money. It's not too hard to understand. It will draw some viewers in to justify the decision.

Although I do agree a Mayor West spin-off would have been nothing short of awesome.

I think a show based on Family Guy with different characters each week would be quite cool. Although I'm starting to dislike Family Guy.

I've only watched American Dad once or twice in forever but it seems to actually have humor driven by the plot to some extent, which is a lot more than I can say for Family Guy these days.

I watched a few of the episodes when it first debuted. It was alright, some funny to it, but I couldnt get into it. The episode where Roger has multiple personalities, though, was quite good.
