The England thread

Recommended Posts

Some goods and bads to take from this game. Although the team had only one day to practice together, they still managed to create plays. Dante was solid, Fred had good moments and Lucas did well when they used him, Cesar was fantastic too. Ronaldinho, Luis Fabiano, Arouca, Neymar, Adriano, all these guys need to improve but as I said before, the team had only one day to practice together and it's a whole new line of work now with Felipão. By the time the Confederations Cup starts, we'll already have a good team for the WC.

lol, Rafael.

Anyway:

England play Brazil again on 2 June when the Maracana Stadium is re-opened following its refurbishment for next year's World Cup and Brazil boss Luis Felipe Scolari is already looking forward to it. "I'm not disappointed," he said of last night's 2-1 defeat at Wembley, the first match of his second spell in charge.

"We played a strong England team in good physical form. We had seven, eight or nine players who have only just started with their preparations. All the England team were very strong and very organised. I wasn't surprised, England always plays like that. Let's see what they will play like in the Maracana. We aren't in the best physical condition yet."

FA say have had a fair hearing and an ample opportunity to present their case at UEFA appeal hearing in Nyon today. The FA delegation, including players Tom Ince and Stephen Caulker and U21 coach Stuart Pearce have left UEFA HQ, without hearing verdicts in the case which are now being considered by the appeals panel.

So apparently Ince managed to lose his luggage... so he had to do a mad dash to a tailors to get himself kitted out in a smart new suit
