I love Kuyt, won me a nice sum of money tonight First half was pretty mehhhhh didn't know where a goal was gonna come from but 2nd half we looked more like doing something just glad Kuyt scored when he did and Joe Cole was unlucky near the end not to make it 2-0 but atleast he looked better.

Hopefully Agger isn't injured and hopefully we can beat Braga next round cause I fancy going to Dublin for the final even if I dont get tickets Poulsens poo as well

Referee has been shambolic. In the first half especially him and the linesmen in the Braga half were giving offsides like they were filling a quota.

Brafa defender's just got away with a blatant elbow on Carroll as well.

Yeh some shite officiating but first half we didn't look like doing anything but once Carroll came on it was a whole different game. I'm confident about the return leg though as I think we can win at Anfield, hopefully Gerrard isn't seriously injured as

I think the decision to play Spearing/Lucas/Poulsen at the same time wasn't the best of decisions.

Plus i'm guessing that ref is the Belgium Mark Twattenberg

Just got in and suprised to see both City and Liverpool lost.

Disappointed to have lost, obviously, but was pleased to see Carroll play well, and 1-0 isn't exactly a terrible result. I think we have a pretty exciting team now with guys like Meireles, Carroll, Suarez and occassionally Gerrard, which is a nice change of pace.

Great result for FC Twente today, 3-0 over Zenit is a great result as I thought Zenit would win that game, thats the only real shock.

I didn't think Kiev would win 2-0 but I thought they'd beat or draw with City as Ukraines always a difficult place to go to like with Shakhtar.

I wish someone other than Channel 5 would show our games though I'm sick of Stan Collymore and friend commentating

Yeah I've decided this post was awful and I have better sense than viperlike so I will put something constructive in.

Man City were not great. I don't think. I'll be surprised if they get through after losing 2-0.

While Liverpool, at home with Carroll, Meireles, Kuyt and maybe Gerrard if he is fit can beat Braga. Braga lucked out and got a penalty and won the game, and then shit themselves when Carroll came on. Although I could do without Paulson/Spearing/Lucas ever being the majority of the midfield. Lucas can be wonderful but the other two don't inspire hope.
