Strange, when I try to login it says it can't connect to minecraft.net but it was working earlier. I can login just fine via my web browser too.

The spawn points generally have been around the gravel trap from what I've seen on here and on the Minecraft forums. If you spawned on the sand, have a walk around and you'll see it soon enough (it's by water). Dig a little bit and prepare for awesomeness.

It spawned me at the base of a snowy mountain. Nothing really to note... Although about halfway up there are a couple of nice looking caves which look very homely.

Does anyone else find they're awoken by a Skeleton or something to that effect every time they sleep in the bed? Despite my door being closed and being sealed off in a room made entirely of wood?

Yea its a glitch..think you have to light the room and make sure its not along a wall thats only 1 block thick

Or it´s a philosophical statement of the light only existing wen you see it. Ergo wen your eyes are open. Eyes closed, mosters spawn. Krugercraft FTW!

You can't throw iron ore into the smelter and have them smelted into ingots while "sleeping"
