The Indian bowling is atrocious. They can keep scoring 300+ (350+ versus the lesser teams) but they can't defend it against the likes of Pakistan, England, South Africa and Sri Lanka at big events like this. It has been issue that has plagued India for most of their existence but it has really gone to an extreme lately. I didn't get up in time to watch most of the match but looks like Tendulkar had another one of his great innings. Really need to watch all of India's innings from now on. Won't have that many opportunities to watch Tendulkar play before he retires. Brilliant stuff from Strauss here too.

Well, I'd be more inclined to credit England's batsmen than criticise India's bowling/fielding today, but I suppose a score of 338 shouldn't really be chased down.

EDIT: How the fuck did they manage to tie that match? Lesson learnt - don't let England take a fucking batting powerplay when they're in a commanding position. It doesn't work right.

We've talked about teams taking The Power Play too late, dd England take theirs too early? I don't necessarily think so but it will be brought up.

We shouldn't have had to rely on big hitting bowlers at the end. Fortunatly they stepped up to the plate and did a job, but boy did we make it hard. A fantastic match, we may have got the job done with Morgan. Not so sure about India as favourites now, yes their batting is very very good, but their bowling and fielding leaves an awful lot to be desired. Great advert for 50 over cricket.

Amazing result considering the nightmarish last 5-10 overs.

Keeping wickets in hand is key. Thirty-odd from 3 overs becomes possible to get when it's the case. Lost too many earlier on way too cheaply, but then, so did India during their innings.

Heart in mouth stuff on that last ball.
