Sounds fair to me. Are FIFA being more proactive than the UN in Israel/Palestine? Will Tokyo Sexywale sing a rock song on the wall as it's being broken?

Not quite a rock song but if its a FIFA delegate surely its gotta be Money Money Money by ABBA.

History was made in Italy's Serie B this week, after Vicenza's Cristian Galano received football's first ever green card.

The green card, which is awarded for fair play, is an initiative that the league's officials announced they were introducing at the beginning of the season. The player who is awarded the most green cards will receive an award at the end of the campaign.

Vicenza's Galano was awarded the green card after admitting that no Vitrus Entella defenders had touched the ball when his team were awarded a corner kick.

Andrea Abodi, President of Serie B, says the cards are largely symbolic and are part of a plan to clean up the league's image, after it was tarnished by a match fixing scandal at the beginning of the season.

"It's a symbolic award. It could be something very simple. The important thing is to recognise it when a professional does something exemplary."

Thailand’s football season has ended early after the death of the king, handing a perhaps unsatisfactory title to the league leaders and leaving the league cup final to be decided by lottery. Muangthong United were crowned Thai League champions, while two of the three clubs to be relegated might have stayed up had the remaining three rounds of matches been played.

No offence to Thailand but that's dumb. Is everyone in the country just sitting in a dark room for the next year then doing nothing out of "mourning"?

It's strange how different the world can be, right across it.

I don't understand why they can't just play the games a little later?

The mourning period is a year long. I assume next season is cancelled as well.

It says 30 days in the article doesn't it?

They have also banned CHANTING at the upcoming Australia v Thailand game. Fans have been told to wear black, white or grey, and to not engage in any "joyful activities".

Good luck getting the Socceroos to sit on their hands when they score.

Polite clapping only, please.

Why don't they just move the match to Cambodia or Vietnam or something because that is just stupid.
