Admin Lineker Posted August 12, 2011 Admin Report Share Posted August 12, 2011 563-3, bad light stopped play. This is wonderful stuff from England.
Admin Lineker Posted August 12, 2011 Admin Report Share Posted August 12, 2011 Finally a wicket for India. Morgan caught out for 104. 596-4.
Matt
We have to be considering a declaration sometime soon. I could understand letting Cook carry on if he had something to aim for or he was playing shots but he's only picking up singles and twos so all his targets are hours away
Admin Lineker Posted August 12, 2011 Admin Report Share Posted August 12, 2011 Cook approaching his 300. 706-6 . He must be targeting Graham Gooch's 333 soon. We're just gonna keep going for the hell of it, this isn't going to be anything but a win for us.
Admin Lineker Posted August 12, 2011 Admin Report Share Posted August 12, 2011 Fuck. Caught out for 294. But what an innings from Cook. 710-7 dec.
Starvinho
Gutted for Cook, still an amazing innings though. I have no doubts we'll bowl them out tomorrow and become #1.

Rich
Edgbaston was fucking rocking today, amazing atmosphere, the respect for Tendulkar was unreal. Best of Days
Dan McG
Congratulations England, you thoroughly deserve the number 1 spot. You've got the best opener in world cricket in Cook, the best bowler in Anderson, the best spinner in Swann and the biggest c*** in Broad. As an Australian, it does make me feel slightly better than we lost the Ashes more due to English brilliance than our own incompetence, but only very slightly. 294 and 7/710 against the (former) World Number 1 side is incredible. What a line-up.
Admin Lineker Posted August 15, 2011 Admin Report Share Posted August 15, 2011 Graham Onions has been called up to the squad for the Fourth Test. Chris Tremlett is ruled out with a back injury.

Starvinho
England 75-0 at lunch, a slow but steady start from us, would like to see the run-rate increased a bit though.
Starvinho
The word is that it's unlikely there'll be any more play today, it has been rained off since lunch.
Admin Lineker Posted August 19, 2011 Admin Report Share Posted August 19, 2011 Shit, first wicket after barely three minutes! Cook gone.
Starvinho
Another wicket, Strauss gone for 40. It's 97-2.
Admin Lineker Posted August 19, 2011 Admin Report Share Posted August 19, 2011 296-2. Century for Bell. Much better from England.
Matt
A bit early I suppose but it's a tough call for Strauss here as to when he declares. 550 should be enough to enforce a follow-on, I'd think but then if they do reach 350, we'll struggle to win. Anything north of 600 and we're running the risk of not having time to take 20 wickets (given the weather). Can definitely see this heading to a draw.
