Eh, I'm undecided on our group. It could've been worse but it could've been a whole lot better too. Obviously Germany are going to walk it and it'll come down to what we can get off Sweden. Can't wait to rape Brian Kerr's Faroe Islands too!

Best draw Scotland has had in a long while, in that there are no huge teams in the group, although we'll do really well to finish above Croatia, Serbia and a Belgium team that is shaping up to be their best side since the 80s. Nevertheless, we should be able to deal with Wales and Macedonia. Hopefully. Just a shame this opportunity is being given to Craig Levein rather than Alex McLeish or someone like that.

Just to round this off...

EUROPEAN ZONE DRAW

Group A: Croatia, Serbia, Belgium, SCOTLAND, FYR Macedonia, WALES

Group B: Italy, Denmark, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Armenia, Malta

Group C: Germany, Sweden, Republic of Ireland, Austria, Faroe Islands, Kazakhstan

Group D: Netherlands, Turkey, Hungary, Romania, Estonia, Andorra

Group E: Norway, Slovenia, Switzerland, Albania, Cyprus, Iceland

Group F: Portugal, Russia, Israel, NORTHERN IRELAND, Azerbaijan, Luxembourg

Group G: Greece, Slovakia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Lithuania, Latvia, Lichtenstein

Group H: ENGLAND, Montenegro, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, San Marino

Group I: Spain, France, Belarus, Georgia, Finland

A group we should get through without any real issues. Ireland could very easily finish second in their group behind Germany. Group E is great whilst Group I is a bit of a bastard. Craig Levein, Gary Speed, and Nigel Worthington can start booking their holidays now though.

Think we'll go through it unbeaten but drop points, probably to Montenegro and Ukraine. We'll probably beat San Marino about 3-0 at best and fuck knows about Moldova, we never seem to play them. Figured we'd get Ukraine in some form, and some other teams we also seem to be drawn with more often than others. Still, relatively nice draw.

Scotland getting Belgium, Croatia and Serbia is a bit of bastard, for them at least. Three good sides, and one of them missing the finals will be a blow because they could probably all hold their own in most matches.
