Also has anyone tried the new Victoria III yet? I’ve tried it a bit and I think I like it but it also feels a bit empty and it is incredibly janky.

I was really excited for it, but I've heard what you just said about it being mostly a shell of what it could and maybe eventually will be. I'll hold off for a few years and try not to be so terrible at Victoria 2 (Electric Boogaloo?) until then.

I have tried to play this game, and even after watching some tutorials and reading some stuff, I still feel immediately overwhelmed and start getting my ass kicked.

Maybe I need to just start as a Lord instead of a whole King/region? Maybe then I won't immediately be losing military battles and feeling like I'm about to get my ass handed to me!

Are you playing 2 or 3? 3 is much better at telling you how things work and easing you into the game, but it’s perhaps not as feature rich as 2 because it doesn’t have a decade of DLC behind it.

CK3AGOT is a work in progress tbf, but based off the Discord a first release in the first half of the year is somewhat likely.

Definitely play a few games as a Lord or Count and work up to a Duke. Learn the ins and outs while having a liege protecting you.
