I'm not jealous of the Yankees or their success. Their fans are a bunch of douches and multiple bad experiences at the stadium when I was a kid is why I hate them. Logically speaking, being a Yankees fan would have been the easy choice if I wanted to be a frontrunner.

I hate how the stories are already coming out about how Tony Romo will be a leader this year. I swear we've had this same build up for the past four or five seasons. Romo is NOT the problem, and I think with Mo Claiborne and Brandon Carr, we helped shore up our real inefficiencies.

If DeMarco Murray and Miles Austin can stay healthy, we'll be competitive in the NFC East. Not gonna say we'll win the division cause it's gonna be insanely tough this year.

My only expectation is that they'll do better than 8-8, anything less than that is a big disappointment. The secondary should be a huge strength this year, not just due to Carr and Claiborne, but thanks to Jerome Henderson coaching the DBs. He turned Joe Haden into a stud, I'm expecting he'll have a similar effect on Claiborne.

I need to see if I can get a volunteer spot with the event the Food Bank is running this weekend, Taste of the NFL, DeMarcus Ware is hosting and I want to meet him. It's frustrating having my cubicle next to the teams that handle events, they spent the morning showing off pictures from their event with Dirk Nowitzki last night.

I like Claiborne but secondary players take 2 or 3 years to really start hitting their stride. Revis, Reed, Polamalu, and Asomugha all took at least a full season to become effective corners and safeties…

Even as a rookie, Claiborne is going to be better than Terrence Newman was last year.

Amen to that. And I'm also really tired of hearing the "Romo is going to become a real leader this year" crap. They've been saying that for the past several years, and honestly, it's NOT going to happen. Romo is always going to be Romo, and the Cowboys needs to stop pretending otherwise. They have a shot at doing really well this year thanks to (imo) some good off-season moves and the draft. I just hope that they can get things together enough to make a real push soon.

Oh, I can't wait to see Romo go. Unfortunately it looks like Jerry Jones has so much of a hard on for him that the only way its probably going to happen anytime soon is if Romo suffers a career ending injury.

I'm sick of people talking about him being a clutch QB, because while he might be, his choke artist gene overcomes his clutch gene come the last month of the season. A QB who can't get it done in the last month and playoffs is no QB anyone should want.

Yeah, like I've told all my friends, Romo is the type of QB who is just good enough to lose you the big game. And he's so damn inconsistent. He can throw for 330 yards and 3 TDs one week, and toss 3 INT's and fumble twice the next.

I've honestly never thought of him as a clutch QB just for that reason. I really don't see the Cowboys ever winning a Super Bowl with him as QB.

I'm in Pro-Romo mode at the moment, so I'll wait to comment on him until the season starts.

I'm trying to be in pro-Romo mode, and I really hope he proves me wrong. Told my wife that I thought this could be the year for something good to happen. So we'll see.

I saw a thing on ESPN that said something like "Romo is Top-5 QB" or something. It was an Insider article so I couldn't read it. Still, I think Romo is an above average NFL quarterback and I think that, if the team around him is solid, then the team can make a good run. The problem over the last few years has been massive holes in the line-up.

Remember, Romo was a botched play away from a potential run in the playoffs in 2006 vs Seattle.

I'm stunned Romo became the starting QB in Dallas in 2006. Meanwhile Steve McNair was starting in Baltimore, Drew Brees had just come to New Orleans, Brett Favre was in Green Bay, and Rex Grossman took the Bears to a Super Bowl.

That whole "Rex Grossman taking the Bears to the Superbowl" thing actually gives me some hope that if HE can do it, then maybe Romo can too. Romo may be inconsistent and big the worst times to implode, but he's not NEARLY on the same level as Rex Grossman. On his BEST day I don't think Grossman was really near the top of the QB heap, and Romo has definitely been there.
