I doubt either of my picks make it through here. Glad Breaking Bad had such a good run, and I'm hoping Arrested Development can beat the Simpsons. I'll still be happy with a Community win and haven't decided who I'll be voting for in the finals if it's Community and AD.

This has been a fun tournament although I'm not too thrilled with the Final Four here. I enjoy Community but I have a hard time saying it's anywhere close to my All-Time Favorite show, and while I also love Breaking Bad I don't even think it's the best show in it's genre (drama). Simpsons & AD have stronger cases for being the best, in my mind, but those two aren't really my favorites either.

I'm at least happy that I've seen a lot of all of these four shows though...should be interesting.

Guest mr. potato head

Why I Voted for The Simpsons: Arrested Development is funny, and it's funny the more you watch it and pick up on other things, but it's less funny when you come back to it after five years and have forgotten a lot of the continuity porn. The Simpsons, on the other hand, actually gets funnier with absence, because you forget the wit and jokes and when you find them again, they're just wit and jokes that don't require any further explanation.

Really? 'Cause Jim Parsons strikes me as being just as awkward as Sheldon, just not the brilliant scientist that he plays on screen. And the guy playing Wolowitz has always been typecast as a geek/nerd (I hate to mention A Cinderella Story, but he was in there). Mayim Bialik is in fact a genius, so... yeah, "blackface for nerds" seems to overstate the case.

Of course, since EWB clearly doesn't like it incredibly well, I feel like I'm beating a dead horse.

I think the IT Crowd was better at writing nerdy people (although the IT Crowd is a different kind of sit-com) than BBT has ever been because, well, it's writer Graham Linehan is himself a nerd.

There is a lot of force fed "nerd activities" and dialogue in BBT. The characters are more or less archetypes of different 'kinds' of nerd. I do like the show, it is funny, but I've fallen off watching it in recent times.

I personally voted for Breaking Bad & Arrested Development to meet in the finals, and that reminded me of one of my all-time favorite AD moments.

Bob Odendrik (Saul Goodman from Breaking Bad) is Tobias & Linsday's therapist during couples' therapy. During the scene they role-play with Tobias acting as Linsday and Bob acting as Tobias. They get so caught up in their roles that they nearly passionately kiss one another until Lindsay yells "end scene!" Anyway, that was just a funny scene I always enjoyed that I like even more now knowing that Saul Goodman is involved in it.

Much later today, apparently.

But here they are: the winners of the Final Four.

In the Eastern versus Central brackets battle of 1) Community vs. 4) Breaking Bad, the show that will move on to the Finals is

1) Community

And thus ends the championship dreams of the last drama of the tournament. Well done, though, Breaking Bad. Very well done. It was a four vote separation, too: 12-8.

In the Mountain versus Pacific brackets battle of 1) The Simpsons vs. 1) Arrested Development, the show that will move on to face Community in the Finals is

1) Arrested Development

They may both be 1 seeds - and I know the quality of The Simpsons has had hills and valleys over its 23 seasons - but I'm calling this an upset. That said, had only 2 votes gone the other way, The Simpsons would still be alive: 11-9.

And that means we're finally down to two.

Two internet darlings who have both known the perils of critical acclaim with a lack of ratings will face off in an East Coas- er, Eastern Bracket/Pacific Bracket showdown.

It's Greendale versus The Bluths to decide which will truly be EWB's All-Time Favorite TV Show.

And no waiting around. We're doing this now.

ROUND 6 - THE FINALS

EASTERN BRACKET vs. PACIFIC BRACKET

1) Community vs. 1) Arrested Development

Not sure I like this final.

Both shows are undeniably great, though, and this is nowhere near the final I was dreading (which would have been something like South Park vs. Dexter).
