The Olympics or the World Cup?

The Olympics is the pinnacle of sport and absolutely everyone watches it. I absolutely love football, it is my life but the event is still in the Olympics and I can live without major international football. So bin the World Cup for me.

I think one of the main differences is just that scope to experience something new. I wasted hours watching dressage and canoe sprinting, I don't get the same thing from watching South Korea play Slovakia.

If the world cup went, I think the Olympics football would just become more prestigious, so it's possibly win-win. Personally, I get more into the world cup, with the London Olympics probably being the exception, but the Olympics appeals to much more people, surely?
