Watford have announced the signings of Sweden international striker Mathias Ranegie and German midfielder Alexander Merkel from Italian side Udinese. Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has extended his loan deal at Watford until the end of the season. Meanwhile, Josh McEachran (Chelsea) and George Thorne (WBA) have now both returned to their respective parent clubs as their loans have expired.

The most important thing to take from all this is that Watford now have players called Gabriele Angella and Alexander Merkel.
