Swansea have made an enquiry to bring back midfielder Joe Allen to the club from Liverpool.

Watford are back in for Spain international Mario Suarez over a loan move from Fiorentina, according to Sky sources. Sky Sports News HQ reported just over two weeks ago that the Hornets were in advanced discussions with the 28-year-old after agreeing an initial loan deal with his current club. Those talks broke down last week but are understood to have been renewed and Watford are hoping to get a deal over line, which is expected to involve an option to sign Suarez permanently in the summer.

West Ham have made a bid to take Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike on loan for the rest of the season, according to Sky sources. Emenike, 28, has been playing on loan in Dubai for Al Ain, and West Ham boss Slaven Bilic knows they player from his time in Turkey as Besiktas boss. Hammers co-owner David Sullivan told Sky Sports News HQ on Tuesday that the club was interested in a striker who had been playing in a "strange" league. The move for the Nigeria international would need the agreement of Fenerbahce and Al Ain.

Someone is leaking transfer agreements, including the contract for Bale's move to Madrid. Of which, the most interesting thing to note is that Spurs have first refusal if they match any bid on him from a PL club before June 2019.

Does anyone honestly think that if Bale were to leave Madrid for any reason and, say, Manchester United came calling, he would want to go back to Spurs instead?

According to that contract, if the bids were equal, Madrid would have to reject the other teams bid, so Spurs could just keep making troll bids to up the price.

Not entirely. It says Real would have to accept Spurs offer in preference to the other offer, so they could just not make a decision on the offer until Spurs have concluded any negotiations with Bale.

Edit: Oh, and if they decided not to exercise the right of first preference, they get 10 million quid.

Shit that Chelsea are supposedly doing this transfer window...

* Signing Pato for close to £10 million, because we figure that a guy who couldn't move without breaking himself in Italy and had to retreat back to Brazilian football for a number of years is totally ready to be thrown into the Premier League and make an immediate impact.

* Agreeing a summer free transfer for Lavezzi, who at 30 years old and already going downhill at PSG fits just perfectly with our love of buying players 4 or 5 years after it would actually have been a good idea.

* Selling Chalobah to Napoli for €4 million because LOL WHY BOTHER AMIRITE

Middlesbrough have upped their offer for Fulham striker Ross McCormack, according to Sky sources. It is understood that the Championship leaders have made a second bid of £8m plus striker Kike as they look to land their #1 striking target and are hopeful that will test Fulham's resolve.

Cardiff City are set to complete a loan move for Dutch midfielder Lex Immers from Feyenoord, according to The Daily Mail.

Reading have completed the signing of Yann Kermorgant from Bournemouth, with the striker signing a contract that keeps him at the club until 2017. Sky sources understand the fee is in the region of £500,000.

Sheffield Wednesday have agreed a fee with Norwich City for the transfer of striker Gary Hooper, Sky sources report. The deal should be completed today.

Sky sources understand Sunderland have ended their interest in Lamine Kone.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce has played down reports linking the club with a move for Bournemouth's Lee Tomlin, suggesting there was no truth in the link at all.

Colchester United have confirmed the signing of former England international (yes, that really happened) Nicky Shorey.

Boca Juniors president Daniel Angelici has ruled out the departure of talented midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur amid reported interest from Real Madrid. There had been talk of a 10m euros fee for the 18-year-old with Real Madrid keen to complete a deal ahead of their transfer window ban, but Angelici has not received an offer.

Liverpool have launched a sudden and surprising £24.5m bid for Shaktar's Alex Teixeira. Ian Ayre has flown out to conclude negotiations.

It's a long trip to be told "no, we want closer to £38m and only in the summer" like they've already said repeatedly to everyone else...but hey, I guess he got to enjoy a bit of sunshine.

I don't think the trip would have happened if there wasn't something to it. For what it's worth, the player was coincidentally omitted from their friendly squad this week.
