Yeah, I've gave up on Walking Dead a few seasons back because I hate most of the characters and can't stand watching any of them.  Plus they never learn anything and keep doing the same shit.

I'll give Fear the Walking Dead a shot though, might be able to freshen things up.  And it'll be nice to have a setting that isn't "indeterminable woodlands somewhere between Georgia and Pennsylvania" Plus it starts in August and probably ends around Halloween, which is how horror shows should go.

Fear The Walking Dead's pilot aired last night. Anyone watch it? I completely forgot about it until someone posted about it on facebook.

Just finished it. Was kind of slow but I liked that. Unlike the other show I feel like they need to establish things more rather than just throwing our heroes right into it

Some of the writing was fucking terrible. But it wasn't all bad. The last 30 minutes or so (despite still having some terrible writing) felt intriguing enough to keep me watching the season at least.

Simply because it is set at the onset of the outbreak, I was intrigued.  It wasn't glorious or anything but it certainly wasn't bad.  The last 30m was pretty good and I thought they did a good job of slow rolling all the little things that add up quicker than you would ever imagine when you aren't paying attention.  I'll be watching.
