  1. Brentford 1-1 Fulham (Sat 3pm) Burnley 1-2 Newcastle (Sat 3pm) Sheff Utd 0-2 Nottm Forest (Sat 3pm) Chelsea 2-1 West Ham (Sun 2pm) Liverpool 2-2 Tottenham (Sun 4.30pm, Sky)
  2. He's always desperate to beat Schefter to the punch.
  3. Phoenix getting swept was definitely a surprise. I didn't think they'd get through the West with their roster construction but they seemed to match up great against the T-Wolves when they played during the regular season. Minnesota-Denver will be a great series.
  4. Assuming the Raiders will be rolling the rookie QB dice next off-season, having a viable 2TE set goes a long way in taking some pressure off of them. They just have to suck this year to make it all worthwhile.
  5. I'm sorry that interview was fucking hilarious. Just completely unhinged. You could tell he was actually fumbling his analogy as he's getting to it. Guy cannot conduct an interview as a normal-sounding human.
  6. Zack Snyder has done a stellar job marketing "Zack Snyder" to a cohort of people who by and large don't have a critical eye for art at all and likely don't want one. Movies, like a lot of things for them, are a place to tribalize. So they're loud and make Snyder out to be something he isn't. They're on his team, he's their guy, and that's all that matters. The fact this group exists makes him out as a much bigger deal than he is. "His name is always mentioned so he must be good". I'm sure there are people who genuinely like his movies. But those people are definitely not the driving force behind him being perceived as a major director and creator.
  7. West Ham 1-2 Liverpool (Sat 12.30pm, TNT) Fulham 1-1 Crystal Palace (Sat 3pm) Wolves 1-1 Luton (Sat 3pm) Aston Villa 2-1 Chelsea (Sat 8pm, TNT) Tottenham 1-2 Arsenal (Sun 2pm, Sky)
  8. This is the world's saddest man. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10118688-video-panthers-david-tepper-visits-restaurant-to-ask-about-2024-nfl-draft-sign
  9. I really wanted Quinyon Mitchell. Nate Wiggins feels like a project, which Ravens do draft a ton of. But never love it on a win-now team.
  10. 50% is roughly the hit rate of 1st Rd QBs I read.
  11. Penix is a real headscratcher pick there.
  12. Cincy has basically been the ultimate "small window" team in the salary cap era. Load up with these elite teams for 2-3 seasons and then mismanage their way into wasting the prime of their players instead of being able to retool. Happened with the Palmer-era, the Dalton-era, and appears history is beginning to repeat again. Meanwhile, they're in a division with two teams that historically have incredibly short nadirs with very long windows.
  13. He's been bad. Constantly going down 0-2 and taking middle middle pitches. I wasn't convinced his power was really there yet and in the modern MLB that becomes a big hindrance. I think he's just overwhelmed himself because of that and is overthinking what he sees. Colton Cowser was awful last year and look at him now. Gunnar Henderson stunk until June. The majors are tough. Have a lot of confidence in the organization's coaching to target exactly what needs to be targeted to get Holliday rolling again. But as my friend said last year "one of these elite prospects has to be a bust" It's impossible for them all to hit.
  14. None of the uniforms match and don't feel like a set. They all look like third-party knockoffs of the old Texans jersey.
  15. No they don't. The system is very easily exploited and I think the league doesn't care that much since you want your stars playing in the playoffs anyway.
