  1. Tom Nook's children's college fees won't pay themselves.
  2. He left a USB stick at an event in Dallas. It was found that it contained footage of an underage girl exposing herself. Pitchford was completely unapologetic, stating that the girl was a professional streamer who performed sex acts in exchange for money and that he was interested in some sort of sex act he called a "magic trick". He also said that the girl's online handle was "Only 18". The existence of the porn was definitely true because Pitchford himself admitted it. As mentioned above, though, he insisted that it was "barely legal" porn, rather than underage porn. Not backing down, he also suggested that the girl be put in porn magazines because he liked her so much.
  3. More evidence that Randy Pitchford is one of the worst people in the games industry.
  4. I've read this morning that EB Games in Australia is selling the game today. Maybe other retailers will be too.
  5. The latest Humble Bundle has about a bajillion games and ebooks, and most of them are good. The money raised all goes to help the effort against the coronavirus.
  6. Square Enix has also said that physical copies are likely to be shipped early, at least in Europe and Australia. We might be lucky and get them early. I was going to go digital, but the game costs £59.99 here on the PlayStation Store.
  7. Mario Party would send Switch controller repair demands through the roof.
  8. Several sources are reporting that Nintendo is planning to release remasters of several old Mario games this year. Venturebeat claims that this will include Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Super Mario 3D World, which will have new levels added. I'd be well up for all of that.
  9. I liked Persona 5, but I can't see myself playing Royal for a good while. It's a big time commitment, and with Final Fantasy VII Remake out soon, I'll be concentrating on that. While I think Persona 5 had a better dungeon layout than its predecessor, I generally preferred 4's characters. I thought the focus on changing the hearts of people whose egos had got out of control worked better on paper than it did in reality, especially as the villains tended to be a lot more one-dimensional than the heroes.
  10. I liked the original Resident Evil 2 when I played It back in the day, but I thought it was predominantly tedious rubbish when I played it again years later. The remake is, in my opinion, considerably better, although it still has some irritating holdovers from its source material, particularly in terms of the constant backtracking to complete padded-out puzzle sections. Mr. X is a good means of ramping up the tension, but he does get more annoying than scary after you work out his movement patterns. If I'll give the remake the most credit for something, it's that it dispels the notion that the tank controls and fixed camera angles were essential in the original. The new control system gives you just as much of a feeling of helplessness without forcing horrible movement and awkward perspective on you for the non-combat sections.
  11. Billy Joe Saunders is a cockhead.
  12. England v Croatia from Euro 2004 is being shown on the BBC Red Button today.
  13. I never bothered with Gwent beyond the first time it was introduced in the game.
  14. Both fights can be watched now on the BT Sport YouTube channel. Maybe it's geo-blocked outside the UK, though.
  15. I'm excited to see the Bioshock Collection and XCOM 2 come to Switch. Jedi Academy might be worth a look too if the port's decent.
  16. This is going to be difficult, especially as Notts have been on a very good run lately. The fair thing to do would probably be to promote Barrow, but I understand that could cause some legal arguments. It would be strange to have the EFL a team short again, and that's assuming no other clubs go under because of lost income.
  17. Definitely. Ronaldo kicking the ball around the airport is one of the standout memories of the 1998 World Cup build-up for me.
  18. I've seen Switch consoles with Animal Crossing available for over £500 on eBay.
  19. He might just be bitter about the licence fee.
  20. I had some eShop credit left over, so I bought Animal Crossing. It's really nice and relaxed. The real-time clock is perhaps not my favourite thing, but it could be quite nice to look forward to a little pottering about every day. The Nook Miles game mechanic, which I understand is new, is a great way to incentivise me to get things done. It sort of makes grinding not feel like grinding because there's always a short-term goal to strive towards.
  21. Drawful 2 is free to keep on Steam right now. If you have a PC, make sure you get it.
