  1. Dreams is very good. Have you played Art's Dream, Media Molecule's creation, yet?
  2. I voted for it because I hadn't watched fifteen shows. I still enjoyed the show for the most part before Series 7, and that had some good moments too. I always said that I thought I'd be less invested in the story once all the fantasy elements overtook the political jockeying, and so I wasn't especially disappointed when that came to pass. I'm also one of the few who liked the fact that we didn't see the battles in the first series because I was much more interested in the outcomes than the physical fighting itself. Blackwater was great because we only saw glimpses of the fighting, which left a lot more to the imagination, and the emotional crux of the episode hinged on the different points of view from characters on both sides of the battle, and the fact that it was hard to know who to root for. Most battles since then have involved Jon Snow rushing idiotically into danger and being saved at the last minute by someone who pops up out of nowhere. It was a lot more Hollywood-esque, which didn't work as well for me.
  3. I was really surprised that Game of Thrones finished first the last time it was eligible. As flawed at Series 8 was, I don't think Series 7 was much better, and 7 actually reduced my hype for 8 to the extent that I mainly wanted to watch it just to see it end, rather than because I was invested in what was going to happen. In fact, I didn't really feel much at all when I watched the last few episodes.
  4. The option to skip them would have been very welcome in the AC games I've played.
  5. Just to correct slightly, The Good Place is on Netflix in the UK, so that might have influenced some ballots. It certainly did for me. Still, it's a victory I can't argue with too much. It was between that and Bojack for me. Speaking of Bojack and The Good Place, will they be eligible for the 2020 votes? Both of them started their final series last year, but finished them this year.
  6. Dreams is a really nice game, just like Media Molecule's other efforts. People have created some interesting things already. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be much hype for it at all, which makes me think that it'll be a commercial flop.
  7. I'd completely forgotten about that. I didn't have any consoles at the time, so this was something I played a lot, along with all the Windows Entertainment Pack games (Chip's Challenge, SkiFree, Rodent's Revenge and all the rest). What I played the most, though, was Hover, the game that came free with the Windows 95 CD. You can download a free version that runs on Windows 10 now, and I still give it a go from time to time.
  8. I played all the old Worms games. Armageddon was the one I got the most out of, though. I repurchased it a few years ago on Steam and introduced it to my nephew, who thought it was great. He even recorded his own lines for the sound bank editor.
  9. I think I know the answer to this, but is this year's game any more or less fun than the previous one?
  10. One doesn't want to be too confident in one's knowledge of porcine strategy games.
  11. From the sounds of it, some of the Scotland fans were acting like tossers today.
  12. This is proper secondary school rugby stuff.
  13. I suppose Man United and Liverpool fans have something to agree on.
  14. This England side, like those in other recent years, makes plenty of chances but is too poorly disciplined to see out opportunities. It's a frustrating team to watch at times.
  15. With all the love in the world, your record here is patchy.
  16. I suppose that would depend on your definition of "decent". The Switch Lite is the cheapest option, but it's solely a handheld device and doesn't have detachable controllers or television screen functionality.
  17. Your character as a psychopath, presumably.
  18. That'll Be the Day was one of the first pop songs I heard on a gramophone. I had no idea which songs were in the charts at the time because nobody in my home listened to the radio and we didn't have a tape player, so Buddy Holly and Tom Lehrer were acts I mistakenly considered to be contemporary. It seems completely mad when I think about it now.
  19. I finished the first series of Mr. Robot not so long ago. I haven't started the second one yet for similar reasons to those others here have given. On top of that, I've heard that the second series is the worst, which is a bit of a psychological barrier to start.
  20. I have a feeling England will have a difficult tournament.
  21. I've only just finished watching the finale, so this is a raw reaction, but I thought it was tremendous. There's something nice and fitting about a show that contemplates life and relationships knowing when to bow out on a high. Also, and I know The Good Place is far from an obscure show, I'm still baffled as to why it isn't bigger than it is. Lots of people I've talked to haven't seen it or even heard of it, even though it's on Netflix, has some well known actors and isn't at all difficult to get into. Given the quality it's sustained from start to finish, there are very few people I wouldn't wholeheartedly recommend it to.
  22. With two series of this left, it's strange to think that Better Call Saul will end up with only two fewer episodes than Breaking Bad. I always thought this would be a short term idea, but credit to Gilligan and Gould for making it this good for so long.
  23. There are three Plus games next month. Alongside Bioshock: The Collection and The Sims 4, there's also Firewall Zero Hour for PSVR. If you want to be pedantic, you could say that it's actually five games.
