  1. Athletes have always been selective about conditions when it comes to record attempts, especially in road races. Paula Radcliffe was given male pacemakers when she broke the world record at the London Marathon and it was accepted as an official time. Regardless of the circumstances, running that quickly is a remarkable feat. I'll be interested to see what happens in the future. Kenenisa Bekele was just two seconds outside Kipchoge's official world record a couple of weeks ago, and Birhanu Legese was only seven seconds slower than that in the same race. I wonder how quickly they could go under similar conditions. As great as Mo Farah has been on the track, he has a huge amount of ground to make up if he wants to be competitive in this event.
  2. My copy of The Witcher 3 arrived three days early. This could be a good weekend.
  3. Eliud Kipchoge just ran the first sub-two hour Marathon.
  4. That was my view as well. I was an enjoyable experience, but I wouldn't put it down as something that's vital to the Breaking Bad viewing experience. While I'm happy it exists, I wouldn't have been bothered at all if it didn't.
  5. I wasn't sure about the idea of this film, but I liked it. I'd have still been happy enough without it, but I think it managed to avoid taking away from the main series' finale. It also helps that Aaron Paul is a good enough actor and Vince Gilligan is a good enough writer to pull off a premise like this.
  6. It genuinely took me a few seconds to work out that was supposed to be The Rock.
  7. I've always wanted to play as $500 Shirt The Rock.
  8. And they'll probably still lose.
  9. So England automatically top the group and get a weekend off? That's some luck.
  10. I'm guessing from the wording that you play as both.
  11. All part of paying your dues.
  12. I just hope it isn't a typical 2K grind-a-thon designed to sell in-game currency.
  13. This looks stupid enough that it might be really good. It has Papa Shango in it, for Heaven's sake.
  14. To nobody's surprise, the next Sony console will officially be called the Playstation 5. Two new announced features are haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for the controller.
  15. Yes. His bail lasts until tomorrow, I think.
  16. At the moment, I really think that Game Pass is the factor that makes the next Xbox a sounder move for early adopters than the next Playstation. It's the reason I'm mainly playing on Xbox now. If Sony were to come up with something to rival it, perhaps by making Playstation Now better, that would be amazing. Having first-party Playstation exclusives on day one as part of an affordable subscription would be a dream scenario.
  17. As long as the port is sound, absolutely.
  18. Well, I can see things aren't looking good at the moment, but the journey the club has taken lately has been interesting to me as an outside observer. Growing up, I'd heard stories about how they used to be a big force in European football, but they were always a mid-to-lower end top flight team from when I first started following football. Yes, they won the FA Cup in 1991, but they weren't doing much in the league at that point in time. They flirted a little with relegation a few times during the 1990s, but, with their history and fanbase, they still seemed like a proud club worth respecting. Contrast that with the 2010s, when they've been a top six club every year, including one season as league runners-up and a Champions League Final. It's been quite nice as a neutral to see a once great force emerge back on the big stage again.
  19. It does say something about the progress Tottenham have made over the last decade that starting October in 6th place, one point behind the Champions League places, is considered disastrous.
  20. The next Humble Monthly Bundle offers great value. The Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy, Spyro Reignited and Call of Duty: WWII are the early unlocks, which is a cracker of a deal for $12.
  21. I'm already satisfied with my RDR 2 experience, so I won't be getting it, but it's great for PC owners that they're finally able to play it. Exclusivity is a pain.
  22. I'm keen on seeing Iron Maiden too. I last saw them in 2007 and their recent setlists look right up my street.
  23. I only came on the Friday in 2010. AC/DC were a bucket list band for me and they were a lot of fun. Them Crooked Vultures bored me senseless, though. Do you have any plans to go again?
  24. I've finished second a couple of times in Tetris 99. I'm not usually in the top ten, though.
  25. And three-year-olds don't care about graphical improvements.
