  1. I reckon I could be interesting in Death Stranding if it weren't so long. I quite like the idea of planning a route and avoiding obstacles because it sounds oddly satisfying in the same way that games like Euro Truck Simulator are. 40+ hours sounds like a long time for the novelty to stay potent, though.
  2. Looks as though the rumours of Sol clearing off before the storm kicked in were true.
  3. If it had old content that was really hard to find on DVD, I'd be giving this a close look. Obviously, uploading the entire BBC archive, which is what some people want, would take a ridiculous amount of time, but I'm looking for obscure content most of all.
  4. I've just done this bit too. I'm also curious as to how much more there is.
  5. I started with 0 and it felt like the right choice.
  6. "Well, C3P0 and R2D2 kinda forgot about all the events of the prequel trilogy."
  7. There's a fair bit of waiting involved. You also can't declare war unless you have a casus belli, i.e a legal reason to do so, such as by having a dynastic or fabricated claim on someone else's title.
  8. Maybe try the practice mode for a while. I'm finding hitting a little harder on this game than on 16, which was the last one I played.
  9. Have you tried the "Strike Zone" camera view? It makes it a bit easier to see where pitches are going.
  10. I very rarely pre-order, and I usually only will if I get a good price reduction. Game Pass has changed things a little in that Microsoft-published games go on from day one, so I've been able to play a few games at release without having to pay extra.
  11. On the positive side, at least we won't have the nationalists using victory as a cheap means of pushing their agenda. Also, weather aside, I thought it was a very successful World Cup.
  12. Interestingly, both of South Africa's previous finals have ended without a single try.
  13. Styles make fights, and South Africa's style really doesn't suit England's here.
  14. I'm not sure. I'm usually pessimistic, so I can see South Africa being difficult to break down.
  15. Not long now. I'm feeling tense.
  16. I'll be interested to see what people say about Death Stranding in about a month's time, after the post-release buzz has died down. That's often a good test as to how good a game really is, once the flaws are more widely discussed.
  17. I'm not sure whether to be excited for the last episodes or to dread them. I feel the same way about them as I did for Breaking Bad from Ozymandias onwards.
  18. It's a shame for the people working on it, but that prequel never really interested me much. The Fire and Blood series sounds like a better pitch.
  19. I mean beyond Mario, Zelda, and Donkey Kong, what other games kick ass on the Switch? What are good multi player games? You've got a few multiplatform games for multiplayer, like the Lego games, Overcooked and Stardew Valley, but there's also Super Smash Bros and Super Mario Party. It only comes with one controller doesn't it? I'm thinking of buying a second one but not another kind that's for the portable gaming Technically, it comes with two controllers because each little Joycon at the side of the handheld device can be used as an individual controller. Any retro gaming/backward compatibility? Switch Online, as said, has a library of NES and SNES games, and it's quite cheap. Other than that, there are some old games on the eShop, like Doom, and some previous-gen titles, such as Skyrim, Saints Row the Third, Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6 and LA Noire. Oh, they fucking love Pokemon right now, so what's the best Pokemon game? The Pokemon Let's Go games are great remakes of the original Red and Blue. You don't battle wild Pokemon and instead focus solely on catching them, but trainer and gym battles are still there. Pokemon Sword and Shield are standard Pokemon games that are coming next month. Anything else I should know? Most multiplatform games tend to be more expensive on the Switch. It's annoying, but there's something nice about having some games available to play in handheld mode. Other than that, bear in mind that the charging port is on the underside of the system, which means that you can't play in kickstand mode and charge at the same time. You can buy third-party stands that solve the problem quite cheaply, though.
  20. There's something comforting about this game, at least so far. I really like the familiarity of the ship and getting to know your companions. It reminds me a bit of the KOTOR games, and also a little bit of Firefly.
  21. This is a low-quality match so far, but it's been tense.
