  1. Thanks for that Lineker, he played again tonight in a friendly against Gillingham, looks more than capable in the air, maybe less so when the ball is on the ground according to reports. Veseli also played for 45 minutes and was the standout performer apparently, played right back. Hope Ipswich can make it permanent, the guy seems interested too. Titus Bramble also played an hour! Joined up with the squad yesterday. He's been training with West Ham since his release from Sunderland.
  2. Christophe Berra is set to sign for Ipswich by the end of the week following his release from Wolves at the end of last season, Mick McCarthy paid 2mil to sign him from Hearts when in charge of Wolves. Bongani Khumalo will also sign from Spurs on a season long loan, South African international, played in a few friendlies already for Ipswich, from what I'm told he has looked very athletic and solid, never kicked a ball for Spurs first team in nearly 3 years, any Spurs fan who cares to give reasons, please feel free. Kemy Agustien is also being linked from Swansea, in a deal worth about 250k.
  3. Joined the premierleague.com. Starting XI: Begovic Zabaleta Vertonghen Ivanovic Chico Bellamy Johnson Mata Coutinho Kone Podolski Subs: Ruddy, Shawcross, Routledge, Long
  4. I assume it's still the chick who used to be in Home and Away? That's the one, Bec I believe her name is.
  5. I may well watch a bit of it now because Sallie Axl, that's why.
  6. Championship 1. Q.P.R 2. Nottingham Forrest Play-Offs - Ipswich Relegated - Millwall, Yeovil and Charlton I think Ipswich will turn a few heads next season, and I'm not just saying it because I live here! Mick McCarthy is a huge difference maker and is going about his business quietly and already signed four players, and with DJ Campbell apparently signing a permenant deal they have the fire power in Campbell, McGoldrick, Nouble and Taylor to make them a real threat. If he signs a winger and manages to hold on to Cresswell, they have a very impressive team for Championship level. The form table showed that Ipswich were a top 6 side following MM taking over and he has the know how to get out of the league. I think Davies will finally do it for Forrest and although I'm expecting a lot better from Blackburn, I still think they'll crumble, hanging on to Rhodes is a must. I've gone with QPR to win the league, because why not? League One 1. Wolves 2. Bradford Play-Offs - Coventry Relegated - Rotherham, Walsall, Colchester and Preston Guess work, I think you have to expect Wolves to bounce back and I'll go with Bradford to carry forward their momentum from an impressive season. The rest, meh. League Two 1. Chesterfield 2. Northampton 3. Bristol Rovers Play-Offs - Newport Relegated - Fleetwood and Morecambe Utter guess work I'm afraid.
  7. Darryl Murphy has signed a two year contract with Ipswich, hardly surprising since he has spent the last two seasons or so here on loan. Murphy joins David McGoldrick, Jay Tabb and Cole Skuse from Bristol City who have already signed their deals, all free transfers. Looking promising and coming together for McCarthy, Jermaine Pennant and Jerome Thomas, along with Matt Kilgallon all holding talks currently too. Can't see the Pennant thing being true!
  8. Is there a standard Jay Lethal kyky with him with the original X-Division title on his shoulder? Can't seem to find one! Also looking for AJ Styles and Tomko with the TNA Tag Team titles, all from 2006. Any help would be appreciated!
  9. I'm sure it has been asked before but has anybody got/playing the handheld version? I downloaded it on Friday for my iPhone 4s as it was only £2.99 and I generally can't get enough of it.

  12. Aug 6 Bristol City A Aug 9 Northampton Town (CC1) H Aug 13 Hull City H Aug 16 Southampton H Aug 20 Peterborough United A Good start for Ipswich, I think. All very winnable games, especially if Jewell continues to build on his squad the way he is at the moment. Championship Promotions: Birmingham, Leicester, Ipswich Relegations: Bristol City, Doncaster, Peterborough League One Promotions: Sheffield United, Colchester, Huddersfield Relegations: Exeter, Yeovil, Wycombe, Tranmere League Two Promotions: Plymouth, AFC Wimbledon, Crewe, Dag & Red Relegations: Macclesfield, Barnet
  13. Michael Chopra has all but completed a £1.5mil move to Ipswich. With the whole 1.5 going to Sunderland as Cardiff still owed it from the 4mil they paid for him. Ivar Ingimarsson and Nyron Nysworthy are also heavily linked to complete their free moves to Ipswich over the weekend/early next week. Faris Haroun, a Belguim international is also set to sign. Sunderland apparently lead the race for Connor Wickham. A bid of £9mil plus add ons for apperances and international apperances, with a percentage of the selling on fee to Ipswich has apparently been made but nothing concrete yet. Edit: Chopra deal done, 3 year contract. Good buy from Ipswich in my opinion, proven in The Championship and a pretty low price. If he stays fit he can quite easily bag 15-20 goals.
