The creeper 20-something who was dating the teenage Hae who Hae reportedly was going to see that night and whose alibi for the night in question comes from his mom? Random violence? Crooked ass Baltimore pigs? The dude who found the body? I don't get the idea that Adnan is the only choice here.

Its funny, I watched that with Joey and we both came away with very different impressions. Neither of us had any prior knowledge of the case. Joey came away thinking that Adnan was definitely guilty and that Jay's story added up when you took into account that he was selling a lot of weed at the time and so, of course his story changed over time -- at first he was trying to hide that from the cops, but when it became clear they didn't care about that in wake of a murder he complied. On the other hand, I took that same information and went, 'yup, I could totally see the cops, especially Baltimore police, using the weed charges as a way of blackmailing Jay into testifying exactly how they wanted him to." The bit from his interview where the cops go like 'so where did you two bury her?' 'On the side of the road.' 'The side of the road where the big white barriers are?' 'Yeah, exactly, where the barriers are' sounded like he was being fed information. Either way, quite enjoyed the docu-series; I didn't realize just how close I lived to all that! The crimes took place in Woodlawn, and when I was college I lived right on the line between Catonsville and Woodlawn, a couple miles from the edge of Leakin Park where Hae's body was found.

I assume the name means that when Kylo gets redeemed he will take on the Skywalker name, but fuuuck if Rey ends up being a Skywalker after all to appease the pissy fanboys that will be so lame.

Vox is great, I love their Earmworm series in particular, and the first episode of season two was released recently and its wonderful.

DS9 is so good. Only a couple episodes into season two at this point but I love it.

My favorite wrestling game ever is that one for Gamecube where you beat up security guards and fought on a barge in the middle of the ocean.

I was so hyped for the first ten minutes of Half Life 2, but then they gave me a gun and I immediately lost interest. Also, these sports games we're talking about...y'all mean the Backyard Sports series, right? Those games were great.

Easily one of my favorite books I ever read for a class in high school, although its been far too long so I should revisit it soon. Here is a google drive full of books/other media to read for Black History Month. I've been flipping through it a little while I'm at work, going back and forth between reading some of the Black Marxist writings and the General History of Africa series, but there's lots of great stuff in here!

Yeah, I never read past the first book when I was younger but the Netflix series was absolutely delightful.

I liked the original cut better but yeah, holy shit is the beginning of the season a drag thanks to the format.

Has anyone been watching the Young Justice revival on whatever DC's streaming service is called? I've been wondering how people are liking it, but I'm also trying to avoid any spoilers. I'm hyped for it; I looooooved the first two seasons of YJ, but I don't really care about anything else on the streaming service so I'm waiting until the whole season is released to check it out.

I've been watching a lot of PBS Eons lately, quick little educational videos about the evolution of life on Earth. I'd recommend starting with their Journeys Through Geologic Time series (which is annoyingly backwards in that playlist, so start with A Brief History of Geologic Time and work your way up).

I'm currently rewatching Sabrina as I originally watched it without my girlfriend but recently convinced her to give it a shot. The atmosphere, the set design, hell the whole aesthetic of the show is so good. So is the acting and the casting, love it love it. Its just too bad that the writing is kinda shit, eh?

IIRC season two, especially towards the end, was when I felt like the show really hit its stride!
