  1. Sorry to threadjack but I'm completely out of the Lucha loop. Which company does Los Bizarros wrestle for? After stumbling onto AAA's site a while back, it seems like an emo/punk/metal stable would fit in perfectly with their roster of Satanists and transvestites. Also, where is Kaos wrestling now and when did he get the facepaint (which looks surprisingly awesome on him)?
  2. Since the bulk of you seem to dig Power Metal, I figured you'd like this. I was just watching my roommate play Sacred 2 on the 360 and apparently he had to get some musical instruments for the quest. When he finished it, his reward was a cut-scene of a Blind Guardian concert...but not an actual filmed concert but an in-game one, with monsters from the game in the audience and the band playing guitars shaped like axes. Better yet, your character gets the instruments as a reward, so needless to say, my roommate is currently killing bad guys with a flaming guitar.
  3. Honestly, I'd probably have to support a movie with Kimberly Page wearing tight leather pants on principle alone, no matter how bad it is.
  4. Looking over that Metal Storm list, there's nothing that's really popping up as a "must-have" except for 1349's newest (and the new Agoraphobic Nosebleed which is already out). Just as well as I've been spending a few hundred bucks towards putting together a new computer. Listening to nothing but the new Mastodon and Cattle Decapitation albums has kinda worn me out. Now I'm back to listening to Dir en grey's "Uroboros". BTW, I would so be buying the new DEG live DVD if it weren't the price of a freakin' import.
  5. I'm counting owned physical CD's here, so I'll be counting EP's, singles and Best Of's. I'm walking back and forth between my friend's computer and my CD rack to list them so I'm not bothered to separate them, even though I'll be mentioning them. Ah well. Adam Sandler - 3 (Mostly because a friend gave me two of them for free) Agoraphobic Nosebleed - 3 (Counting the Split EP with Converge) Amen - 3 Avenged Sevenfold - 3 Between The Buried And Me - 4 The Black Dahlia Murder - 3 Bleeding Through - 4 Cannibal Corpse - 6 Cattle Decapitation - 5 CKY - 3 Converge - 3 (Counting the previously mentioned Split EP with Agoraphobic Nosebleed) Cradle of Filth - 6 The Crown - 3 Darkest Hour - 4 Dark Tranquility - 3 Dillinger Escape Plan - 4 (Counting the Irony Is A Dead Scene EP) Dimmu Borgir - 6 (Counting their split with Old Man's Child) Dir En Grey - 4 (Counting the Agitated Scream of Maggots single) Dog Fashion Disco - 3 Every Time I Die - 3 Exhumed - 4 The Faint - 3 Fear Factory - 4 From Autumn To Ashes - 4 GWAR - 3 The Haunted - 3 HIM - 7 Himsa - 3 Horse The Band - 3 (Counting the Pizza EP) I Am Ghost - 3 Killswitch Engage - 3 The Mars Volta - 5 Mastodon - 5 Metallica - 4 Mindless Self Indulgence - 11 (Counting various singles and 2 different versions of If) Misfits - 4 (Counting the Split EP with Balzac and the Nutley Brass cover album) Mortician - 6 Mr. Bungle - 3 Mushroomhead - 3 Orgy - 6 (Counting a few singles) Pig Destroyer - 3
  6. I think we all like to rock and roll all night, and part of every day.
  7. With my computer down and radio being a pile of suck, I've pretty much been listening to nothing but the new Mastodon and Cattle Decapitation albums. I'm already calling Crack The Skye for best album of 2009 thus far. And for seemingly being the only person disappointed with Karma Bloody Karma, The Harvest Floor kicks a ton of ass.
  8. Chris Klein is the greatest actor of our generation. NASH OUT!
  9. If you're going for the Kaufman-directed ones, I'd suggest Terror Firmer. It's probably my favorite, mostly because it's about a killer going around offing people on the set of a Troma movie. I've really only seen Toxic Avengers 1 and 4, TF, Tromeo and Sgt. Kabukiman. I was really tempted to pick up Poultrygeist after seeing it at Best Buy last weekend. As for the other movies, I can't suggest Cannibal: The Musical enough. Not only is the movie awesome, but it has one of the best DVD commentaries as well. One I can't really recommend in good conscience is Killer Condom. It sounds a lot better than it actually is. Another one I'd probably stay away from is Unspeakable, unless you're a fan of sick films that border on snuff. Stick with Bloodsucking Freaks if that's your kinda thing. I've been pretty out of the loop with Troma recently, but I have taken up re-reading Kaufman's books whenever I'm on the crapper.
  10. As much as I love cheesy movies with zombies and such in them (Hell, I just watched Leprechaun in Space last night), this movie looks very "Meh". Not even Steven Seagal could save it but that's not saying very much, considering Seagal's novelty value has been rapidly waning in recent years.
  11. Just started playing this game and it's pretty cool. Though last night, I was wishing that I could buy XP like in Fable II as I need to hit Level 5 to bring up my Repair and Explosives up to get shit done in Megaton. Had a nice rush of almost dying on my last mission, though. Spoiler: Click here to viewWent and did the Minefield mission for Moira and was getting shot the fuck up by Arkansas. Since I didn't have a good long range gun, I wanted to get up to where he was to cap him. But getting shot up and tripping landmines all over the place dwindled my health down. Worse yet, when I got to the top level of the ruined building, he wasn't there, yet I was still getting shot. Somehow, he dropped down a level and I was able to get him...with basically 1 HP remaining. Took my last 2 stimpaks, got a landmine and fast-traveled to Megaton to get the fuck outta there. Also, fuck fire ants.
  12. Approximately 100% of the lists have nothing to do with mainstream indie music for the most part. And if they are then your probably reading lists that cater for mainstream indie music. You know, except for most of the Rolling Stone Top 20...or any other one because they've pretty much copied each other this year. Really, I've found little to no variety between them.
  13. I need to keep an eye on this thread too as I got a Game Boy Micro a couple years back (when it was only like $60) and haven't gotten much use out of it. Anymore, all I can find are cartoon and kid show tie-ins and the really good games are still in the $30 range, which is goddamn ludicrous considering a good percentage of them are ports of 10-15 year old games! Anyways, all I have is Mario Kart, Fire Pro Wrestling 2, Warioware Twisted (which is much simpler with the smaller Micro) and Yoshi's Island, which I am trying to beat for the third time now (twice on GBA, once on original SNES) while I'm waiting for parts to fix my computer with.
  14. Finally, a Top 20 list where I actually know who the bands are. None of this mainstream "indie" stuff. But just like those other lists, I honestly haven't listened to a single album on this list. I am poor and have only bought like 6 or 7 CDs this year.
  15. I'm not exactly sure if making multiple movies in the span of a year would be called lazy. He practically runs on a porno shooting schedule.
  16. I think the DVD version (at least the one released in the US) isn't the complete movie. Apparently there's an extended cut but I don't know if it has been released or even if it's going to be. I think one of my friends said he got it but I don't know if that meant "rented" or "bought".
  17. Because I'm really bored, here's my list. It's big but it would be a lot bigger if I could include all the 70's Italian gore flicks that have been dubbed over. Akira (Yeah, it's anime but I'm counting it. I don't watch much anime anyway.) Audition Azumi 1 and 2 Battle Royale 1 and 2 Bio-Zombie Death Trance Drunken Master Electric Dragon 80,000V Fudoh: The New Generation Gozu Hellevator: The Bottled Fools House of Flying Daggers Ichi-1 Ichi The Killer Iron Monkey 2 Izo JSA: Joint Security Area Kung Fu Hustle Lady Vengeance The Machine Girl Master of the Flying Guillotine New Police Story Ninja Wars Oldboy Ong-Bak Police Story 1 and 2 The Protector Red Shadow Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky Samurai Fiction Seven Samurai Sex Is Zero Shaolin Soccer Shogun's Samurai Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance Tetsuo: The Iron Man Versus Visitor Q Wild Zero Zero Woman: Red Handcuffs I'm sure there's a few more random-ass kung fu flicks I'm forgetting, but those have probably been dubbed as well.
  18. Replace your Steve McClaren comment with Sarah Palin and you'll have my opinion. I was thinking Top 5 for her but I'm sure you Brits didn't have to deal with her as much as we did. I don't know why David Duchovny is on there. Anyone with a sex addiction gets props from me, let alone anyone who admits to having one. I agree with the Jonas Brothers sentiment but I can honestly say that I have yet to hear any of their songs, so I guess they're not THAT annoying. And thanks for reminding me of the Sex and the City (aka Old Whores On Parade) gang again, list.
  19. Yeah, you should be able to get it on the cheap by now. If so, it's probably worth getting. For better or worse, it's basically Grand Theft Horse. I just haven't made it very far because I tend to get frustrated on missions and not pick it back up again for year or so.
  20. The next season of Always Sunny In Philadelphia (even though the last season just ended) and Season 4 of Venture Brothers. That's about it. I don't really watch much TV.
  21. I don't know how big of a fanbase the Wii has on this board but still, I'm surprised you guys aren't blowing your loads at the Wii version of RB2 regardless. After last year's RB on the Wii being a half-assed port, Harmonix made sure to make it better (at the expense of a delay but who really cares) and not only is everything from the other next-gen RBs on the Wii version (except for maybe the graphics) but they promise to have all the DLC songs as well that you can save to a memory stick. But better yet, Guitar Hero instruments are functional on the Wii version as well. If the sales for these games peak or drop as was hinted at a few posts ago, I would hope that the developers for the 360 and PS3 versions take note because I'm sure no one's going to keep shelling out for different instruments every year...not to mention replacements.
  22. One of my roommates bought it used and though I haven't played it myself, it looked pretty fun. Jumping to the top of tall buildings unharmed, shooting rockets and throwing cars with your bare hands, how could that not be fun? But I could also see how it could get old quickly. Beyond that, there's not much that you'd actually want to do.
  23. Finally, I'm not the only one not to get into Devil May Cry. One of my friends forced me to buy it and I think I only played it once. It's just not my kind of game. I was really bored yesterday and decided to pop in a game I haven't played in about two years: Gun for the PS2. After a few side missions, I get back into the story missions and after getting shot or my horse shot or my buddy shot (it's the mission where you break out of jail and have to get three out of four or five horses that are being patrolled by just about the entire town weilding torches and guns), I gave up.

    Oldboy

Yeah, it's the second, but don't feel like you missed anything by not seeing the others. The films don't have any recurring characters or plotlines, it's just different people dealing with revenge. Kinda like how the Romero "living dead" films are just different people dealing with zombies.
  25. I have too many Asian films it's not funny. But surprisingly, that's about all the foreign films I watch unless you count 70's Italian horror movies but most of them are badly/awesomely dubbed.
