  1. When did Hawkeye start firing shovels?
  2. "Hi! I'm Hayden Christiansen!"
  3. I can't stop thinking about Awesome Man. "PENIS!"
  4. I was huge into Waking The Fallen when it came out. Because of it, I looked for a copy of Sounding The Seventh Trumpet for years. I liked it but not as much as WTF. City of Evil came out and even though they changed their sound, I still dug it. But soon enough, they changed their image, started getting GRILLZ and shit and having 14-year-old girls calling them their like most favorite-est band OMGZ! Now, I couldn't even give a shit about the self-titled album. Haven't heard a song except for some of "Almost Easy", in which I liked some of the drum fills but that was about it. I'm hoping that ignoring them now will keep my past memories of them pure, or something corny like that.
  5. That's because he's now Plain Zero.
  6. That's actually better than what I imagined when I heard "Facebook: The Movie". At first, I thought it was just going to be your typical teen movie with Facebook as a selling point/gimmick. But just because it sounds better still doesn't mean it sounds good. Unless Facebook is built upon treachery and dead hookers, I really don't care.
  7. Annihilation is where it's at. A few days ago, I decided to pop it in. After my roommates decided to join in watching later on, they looked at me and said "Why the hell did you decide watch that?" I just told them "Eh, I felt like watching something horrible."
  8. Seriously, are there any actual jokes in Disaster Movie? So far, all the ads consist of are shots of people pointing and practically saying "Hey, you're a person!" Not to say that any of the other movies were any better but by now, it just seems like the scriptwriters are falling asleep on the job and turn in scripts consisting of nothing but drool and an imprint of their head. Worse yet, people are stupid enough to film it and dumber people are stupid enough to pay money for it. I'm still convinced that this is just an exercise to weed out the dumb people in the world and a year or so down the road, we'll hopefully get "Gas Chamber Movie".
  9. Depends on what you like but the DVD sets I regularly watch (between both episodes and commentary) would be Mr. Show and The Venture Bros. I echo Gabriel's sentiments for Firefly as well. I'm not a die-hard fan of the show and didn't even see it until after Serenity came out but I dug it. And though I only watched a few episodes when my roommates rented it, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is funny as well.
  10. Gimme some time to figure out a good one, but I can give you a horrible one right now. A few months ago on AMC, in between their Death Wish marathons and playing Red Dawn every other hour, they kept advertising this double-header: Enter The Dragon and Catwoman Yup, Bruce Lee and Halle Berry. What a pair.
  11. Looks more like Grand Theft Lightcycle. Also, when Jeff Bridges popped up, I expected him to yell out "Bruce Boxleitner built this in a cave! With a bunch of scraps!"
  12. Just so you know, I'd totally hit the one on the right... By the way, between Naughty Athletics, Flexible Positions and The Real Workout, I've had a perpetual boner.
  13. Shenmue 2 for the Dreamcast (imported copy since it wasn't released in the States other than the XBox), the underground fight against the one chick. I played this repeatedly for a few days and couldn't beat her at all so I decided to not play for a while. I didn't even touch the game until a year later when I popped it in and beat it first try. I beat the game a few days later.
  14. This is true. If Bill Paxton or Lance Henriksen weren't in it, I probably would've been bored to death.
  15. Yeah, I'm not too familiar with Red Sonja but Rose McGowan gives me a boner so I approve.
  16. I didn't blow my load over it like most people have seen it, calling it a horror classic and all. But I did like it. It's not really scary, it's more of a gory drama about the lives of a drifting band of vampires and their struggles to stay out of the daylight and away from the police, despite their constant bloodthirst.
  17. I also heard that the director is filming the "Tales of the Black Freighter" side-story along with Watchmen, but instead of putting it into the movie, it's going to be released on DVD the same week that Watchmen comes out in theaters. Of course, I've also heard that it'll end up being bundled with the movie once it comes out on DVD too so it'll be interesting to see how many of the die-hards will pick it up, how many will wait and how many will outright ignore it, not knowing what it is.
  18. It didn't really disturb me. I found myself torn between being bored, and anxiously waiting for something cool to happen (which, lots of cool stuff did happen)... but never once did I feel uncomfortable watching that movie. Perhaps it is just dated, or maybe I'm far too desensitized. I was looking forward to watching it... then I watched it and enjoyed it, but the hype was not lived up to. That, plus every time something horrible and graphic happens, they go back to the useless sub-plot with the cops and rednecks or whoever they were. I know Wes Craven said that he intended for these scenes to soften the blow and lighten the mood of the previous scenes, but to me, they pretty much ruined the movie.
  19. From what I've gathered from Wikipedia: Eddy Gordo is the Capoeira fighter from The Protector/Tom-Yung-Goon. Jin Kazama is the guy that Tony Jaa fights after the Capoeira fighter from The Protector. Steve Fox is the guy that played Prince Nuada in Hellboy 2. Raven is Darrin from the Darrin's Dance Move videos that you might see on late-night infomercials. Bryan Fury is played by Gary Daniels, most notable for mid-90's straight-to-video martial arts movies. His most notable role was the lead in the live-action Fist of the North Star. So beyond Shang Tsung, GoGo, Nathan Jones and MMA fighter dude, those are the other notable names. Apparently, the girl playing Nina is a singer from South Africa, too.
  20. Isn't the song used in the trailer a remix though? Because I remember when it came out before (on the soundtrack for one of the Batman movies, ironically) and it didn't sound the same. It's still pretty awesome, though.
  21. Actually, Samuel L. Jackson was about the only thing that perked me up about that trailer. At first, I was like "Hey, this looks cool" but within about 10 seconds I was like "Eh, it looks a little much. And why are they focusing on all these chicks I don't care about? Who plays The Spirit? Oh hey, Samuel L. Jackson, muthafucka!"
  22. Sesame Street = Old and busted. Yo Gabba Gabba = New hotness.
  23. Hooray for Watchmen! I went to see The Dark Knight and saw trailers for both Watchmen and The Spirit. After seeing The Spirit trailer, I thought "Hey, that might be good." Then I saw Watchmen and thought "Well, fuck The Spirit."
  24. Ass to ass! /high five By the way, if you go to Wal-Mart and look in their DVD bargain bin. You'll find an edited version of Requiem For A Dream. How do I know it's edited? Because the title on the DVD is "Requiem For A Dream Edited Version". No shit.
  25. I'm really fighting back the urge to watch this right now, since they're supposed to be running it before The Dark Knight.
