  1. Haven't watched Evangelion in ages. I remember being confused and a bit disappointed by the final episode and really bummed out by End Of Evangelion after seeking the movie out for clarification. Then years later I saw the Fokding Ideas video on End Of Evangelion and it made me appreciate the movie a lot more. Not enough to make me ever want to watch it again. But I get it. Here is the video in question. SPOILERS for End Of Evangelion obviously.
  2. Why the hell was there never a 2nd season of The Devil is a parttimer? So much wasted potential.
  3. I bought the Deluxe edition on the Playstation Store as well. 45 bucks is a good price for the whole package. Got UFC 2 for a 10er as well. Downloading takes forever.
  4. It just seems way over the top to me. Like it should be the plot of a new Expendables movie and not a sequel to Sicario. And the trailer makes it look like it is going to be another dumb action movie instead of the well-crafter thriller that the first movie was. Plus Denis Villeneuve isn't coming back to direct it. I don't expect much from it.
  5. So according to the Wikipedia page of Sicario 2 the plot involves mexican drug cartels smuggling terrorists across the border. Is that something that actually happens? Sounds like bullshit to me.
  6. I just finished re-watching Breaking Bad. Got the entire show on Blu-Ray recently. This show just blew my mind all over again. Truly one of the best TV shows ever made.
  7. Saw it a few hours ago. Biggest disappointment of the year by me by far. So many plotholes. So much wasted potential.
  8. Who cares about MediEvil? Just remaster the first three Spyro games already!
  9. I was a bit disappointed with the ending of Horizon: Zero Dawn:
  10. There are reports that studio Illumination Entertainment (the company behind Despicable Me the Minion movies and Sing) is near an agreement with Nintendo to make an animated Super Mario movie.
  11. I haven't read about anyone ever being prosecuted for it. Most of these Abandonware websites seem to operate without problems. But I think it is like Roms. It's okay in most countries if you own the original game and copy it for private use. But I don't think it's okay to upload them without permission. Especially since some of these old games do end up on services like Steam or Gog.com for purchase. But I think it is okay if the developers themselves provide the download links. I think you can still download the old 2D GTA games from the Rockstar website for example.
  12. Isn't Abandoneware illegal? Or at least in a legal grey zone? Just because many of these those old games aren't available for purchase doesn't mean it is legal to provide download links for them.
  13. Can't say anything about that since I don't read comics. But what made movie Zemo stand out for me was Brühl's great, understated performance and that his motives were a lot more personal and kinda relatable. I'm not saying that I condone what he did but I can see where he was coming from. In the grand scheme of things he might not be the most memorable superhero movie villain but for MCU standards he was one of the better ones.
  14. So were Jeff Bridges, Tim Roth, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, Tim Roth, Hugo Weaving, Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, Christopher Ecclestorn, Robert Redford, Lee Pace, Corey Stoll and Mads Mikkelsen. Basically every actor who played a villain other than Michael Keaton, Kurt Russell, Daniel Brühl and Tom Hiddleston (although Loki's inability to decide whether he is a bad guy or a good guy is starting to get on my nerves). Marvel Studios just sucks at writing good villains. And why won't Universal make the same kind of deal with Marvel to make solo Hulk movies like Sony did for Spiderman movies? Do they just hate making money?
  15. So I've just finished Assassin's Creed Origins.
  16. Wasn't that already a thing in one of the SvR games? I remember that one of the games for the 360 had a training mode. Didn't the even go so far as to having that mode instead of a normal main menu?
  17. Don't get me started on the Dark Souls "git gud" crowd. Everytime I hear someone use that phrase unironically I want to punch that person on the face. Being good at Dark Souls or any other "hardcore" game doesn't make you a better persone than anybody else you pathetic, worthless assholes! I'd argue that SmackDown 2: Know Your Role was a pretty good game but other than that there weren't any decent non-AKI wrestling games. The Acclaim wrestling games were all aweful. On the WCW front you had Nitro and Thunder (which was pretty much just Nitro with a new menu skin, an updated roster, slightly more match options and new pick-me skits) which were both terrible. Mayhem was a step in the right direction but it still left a lot to be desired. And Backstage Assault is a contender for "worst wrestling game of all time" award. You also had WrestleMania: The Arcade Game and In Your House but are Mortal Kombat-like fighting games.
  18. The 3D Zelda games were never as good as the 2D games and both Ocarina Of Time as well as Majora's Mask are overrated. *ducks away*
  19. While it is a well written article and I agree that the WWE games have been shit for a long time I disagree with the notion that the games of the current series were always bad that Bixenspan seems to have. SD2 for the PSX was a fine game (except for the loading times) and HctP was amazing. The first two SvR games and SYM were lots of fun as well. I also disagree with the idea that faster , more arcade-y gameplay = bad wrestling game. And the No Mercy/WM2000 circle jerk in the comments is ridiculous.
  20. A while back I posted about Helloween reuniting with former vocalis Michael Kiske and former guitarist/vocalist Kai Hansen for a best-of tour named "Pumpkins United". The tour will start in two days in Mexico and to promote it the band has recorde a song titled "Pumpkins United". You can listen to it on their official Youtube channel here: It's feels insane to hear Hansen, Deris and Kiske on the same song after all these years. In other news, Black Country Communion (the band by vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes (ex-Black Sabbath, ex-Deep Purple), renowned Blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa, drummer Jason Bonham (son of Led Zepplin drummer John Bonham) and keyboardist Derek Sherinian (ex-Dream Theater, ex-Yngwie Malmsteen, ex-Alice Cooper)) have reunited and released a new album named "BCCIV". It kicks ass! I'm posting this here since it is kinda Metal-related and because we don't have a dedicated Hard Rock thread. And last but not least: Remember Europe? The 80s one-hit-wonder Hair Metal band known for their song "The Final Countdown"? They split up in the early 90s but reunited in 2003 and have been killing it recently. They will release their 11th album titled "Walk The Earth" this friday and judgning by the two songs they have release on youtube it is going to be awesome! I'm posting this here for the same reason as the BCC track: Metal-related and no Hard Rock thread.
  21. The next Detective Conan/Case Closed chapter is out:
  22. So Lethal Weapon returned. And it was not what I expected.
  23. Can't have a WCW Crusierweight pack without Ultimo Dragon and Eddie Guerrero. But they would have to make a new model for WCW Guerrero. And maybe Kidman as well.
