  1. Got to admire the dedication of whoever took the time to actually write it.
  2. Playing with toys was awesome. I used to while away many a lazy Saturday afternoon playing with my GI Joes and pitting them against whatever else was in my toy box.
  3. I'm a fan, I guess. I've watched a lot of it and enjoyed a lot of it. I don't think I've ever laughed as hard as I did when the robot raped Herbie and told her/him/it to be quiet when she/he/it struggled.
  4. The approach of the T-Rex in Jurassic Park still sends shivers down my spine. Ditto the arrival of Gandalf and the Riders at the conclusion of The Two Towers. And the dude using flash cards to show his friend's wife how much he loves here in Love, Actually. Got a soft spot for that
  5. Yeah. Wiki said something about Snyder wanting to do it in the film live action, but it needing an extra $20 million budget
  6. I loved Max Payne. Discovered it during one long, boring winter vacation and played it to death. Always felt it had one of the best storylines going around in the world of gaming. Excited to see that translated onto the big screen, even if it does come with the side of bland that is Mark Wahlberg.
  7. Aren't Wolverine and the new Star Trek movie due out next year?
  8. Wow, that was tops. And they broke up? Lame
  9. Christ, I was excited about this as soon as I saw Snyder was attached - but that trailer has me reaching near Dark Knight levels of hype. Can't wait to check this one out.
  10. I'm not particularly squeamish, but Hostel 2 (the scene where the virgin girl is flogged to death to make a blood bath for the crazy bitch) made me uncomfortable. Just so graphic. That girl screaming and crying made me feel just a little ill, and I usually enjoy some senseless violence. Irreversable's infamous rape scene made me feel all kinds of weird too. It goes on forever and it's so depressingly pathetic. If I can include a TV show - there was an infamous episode of The X-Files about an inbred family who went about murdering folks. The episode wasn't so disturbing - just the repetition of that old song and the scene where they beat the cop's wife to death. Gave me shivers.
  11. Am I the only person on earth who thought the original was grossly overrated to begin with? I enjoyed it, but it wasn't so remarkable that I'm racing out to see this one for any reason other than it being a mindless comic book adaptation.

  13. Ugh. I'll boycott the films if he's involved. Terrible, terrible actor.
  14. I'll say this, though. Despite taking out three characters and adding three new ones - they're left with much the same mix. Kutner is every bit as ass kissing as Chase, but with an added dose of childishness and optimism. Thirteen may not be smitten with House like Cameron was - but she's got the same ideals and objections. Taub is a lot like Foreman, in that he's the most likely to stand up to House. I assume this was intentional, since House is the kind of guy who wouldn't want to admit he missed them - so simply replaces them with slightly different versions of themselves.
  15. No, no - I could easily care less. I could not care at all, which isn't true. I do get the occasional chuckle.
  16. I could care less. The Simpsons has been largely shit for close to six seasons now.
  17. Moon Bloodgood is a fairly ordinary actress, if her Journeyman work is anything to go on. Easy on the eye, but bleh. Still, excited to see we'll be seeing more of the series - even if it's likely it'll just be like the Matrix sequels (lots of battles, epic feel, and undoubtedly disappointing when compared to the original, more suspensful film(s) in the series)
  18. I can't see it going that far. She left a note saying she was going to pick House up from the bar, House said exactly the same thing, and nothing was mentioned by her in the time she had left with Wilson. He'll blame House, but because his drunken selfishness got Amber killed.
  19. Final episode: Shit, shit, shit. The sole notable occurence that made me give a damn was Barney's realisation after his accident. It wasn't a funny episode, which is ok when the drama is right, but the drama wasn't. Ted/Stella's relationship has bored six colours of fuck out of me, and the chemistry between the two has been next to non existent. Take advantage of the break, watch the original series and the pre-strike stuff, and go from there.
  20. I Q_Qed, I admit. Perhaps wasn't as innovative or edge of your seat as the first part of the episode (House's Head) - but damned if it wasn't an emotionally challenging episode to watch. That moment when Wilson is trying to explain to Cuddy how cruel it would be to tell Amber she was dying, but couldn't say it... the way his face mask just collapsed and he let it all go. Just really difficult to watch. The last couple of episodes have left us with a lot to confront when the new season starts. Wilson's a nice guy, and will doubtless try not to let his feelings make him hate House, but I can't imagine it will be easy. Thirteen has a terminal illness (albeit one that shouldn't kill her for a decade or two yet) and the Cuddy/House tension has been particularly high of late. All in all, it wasn't my favourite episode of the series (House's Head wins that) or my favourite final episode of all time (No Reason gets that) - but it was a damn fine ending to a season that didn't skip a beat despite the writer's strike. I'll be counting down the days until the fifth season gets underway.
  21. The second season really didn't feel quite as strong as the first for mine in terms of the underlying narrative, but the character development was wonderfully done. Really looking forward to the third season.
  22. Songs of the South was awesome as a kid. Didn't notice or care about any racist undertones it might have had. Brer Rabbit was the shit.
  23. If this turns out to be half the messy, colourful, cluster-fuck that Speed Racer did: I will be delighted. The world needs more senseless, SFX loaded films.
  24. I'm actually more excited about this than most other films coming out this summer (the exceptions being Dark Knight and Iron Man). I've been a huge fan of the Mummy series, and I've always felt they could have been a new Indiana Jones. Frasier is immensely charismatic in the role, Hannah is fine as comic relief, and Weisz was great as the doe eyed love interest. Disappointed to see her go, but I'm sure Bello will bring something entirely different to the table. There's already talk of a fourth as well, which would be good. It's a pity they've chained themselves to the 'Mummy' concept, as I'd love to see Connell battle other kinds of supernatural bad guys.
  25. Ditto. Spoiler: Click here to viewI read someplace that the next episode involves 'murky memories from the bus crash' threatening to ruin House and Wilson's friendship. Seems a stretch, but could an affair be being hinted at?
