  1. As an Elder Scrolls fanboy, I was really excited for this and was involved in BETA. For the life of me though, I just can't get into it. I'm not sure if it's just that my net connection was slower than I'd have liked, or if I just don't enjoy the MMO elements that the game has added. It's graphically stunning and should be fun to explore, but I find combat to be so tedious.
  2. The hardest part of work taking me on the road for five months has been having to stop playing Witcher 3 just as it was getting truly interesting. On my last night in Australia I managed to get old Gerard laid, but won't get to play again now until October-November >_< Love how fully realised, alive, and gritty the game world feels. The next Elder Scrolls game could do worse than poaching a bit of this game's attention to creating a dynamic, breathing world.
  3. David Ford, Ingrid Michaelson, Sara Barielles, Lorde, and Coldplay. I'm clearly manstruating.
  4. Watched Spy tonight. Pretty enjoyable flick. I enjoy Melissa McCarthy swearing at shit never fails to tickle me, Statham is fun, and I'd still do nasty shit to Rose Byrne.
  5. Sign up on Algalon (sic) as Kirin Tor has had some issues. You'll probably want to download the old mods like Quest Helper, Cartographer etc too. I'm on there as horde, but has a NE hunter I'll probably level later
  6. Sad, but true. And I don't want to play Metro or STALKER. They're nowhere near as good
  7. I was going to come in here and say how I felt it was a shame that the Fallout series chooses such bleak, urban environments when (presumably) there's an entire post-apocalyptic world outside of the United States that could be explored. I was under the impression that there wouldn't be a whole lot of difference between post-apocalyptic Boston and post-apocalyptic Washington DC. That video above changed my tune considerably. Very psyched to explore some of these environments.
  8. As great as the 90-100 experience was in WoD, the expansion has been a huge flop to me (and many others). There's so much unfulfilled potential and so many unfinished stories, and now it looks like 6.2 will be the final major content patch. I've not even bothered to re-subscribe to try out shipyards and Tanaan, since nobody has much good to say about them. With Blizzcon not until November and that the most likely place to announce the next expansion, we could be looking at another 12-16 months without any new content of significance. Pretty grim when you consider how little there is to do at endgame in this particular expansion. With that in mind, I recently signed up for the Dalaran WoW legacy server. It's patched up to Wrath of the Lich King, so it's before they reimagined the entire world for Cataclysm or screwed up classes by making them all essentially the same. With around 2000 players on most of the time, I'm really enjoying the return to old school WoW. People talking, having to wait for mobs to respawn, having to group up to take down annoying elites, getting surprised and butt-fucked by Son of Aragul in Silverpine... Good times. Precious memories.
  9. Hmm... this is a good one! World of WarCraft is one I wish I could experience again with fresh eyes. There was such a sense of wonder wandering around that vast world the first time, and it was always throwing up new and challenging things. I'd never played a multiplayer game like it before, and even as somebody with only a passing interest in the setting it was a thrill to find these places from 'history'. Myth: The Fallen Lords is another one. Bungie's RTT game was just amazing and still is. So atmospheric, so visceral, and so different from the YOU MUST CONSTRUCT ADDITIONAL PYLONS style strategy games that existed out there at the time. Escape Velocity is another one I'd love to experience for the first time again, especially with the various plugins that expanded upon both the universe and the gameplay. The thrill of exploration, the storylines that broke your heart a little bit, and the construction of an intergalactic empire were just good fun.
  10. I watched Ted 2 last night in a fit of insomnia. Despite enjoying the first film for what it was, I was pretty underwhelmed by the sequel. It had its moments where I genuinely laughed out loud, but felt pretty flat for the majority of the time. Rehashing the Giovanni Ribisi plotline from the first film felt like needless padding in a near two hour movie. Could have been tightened up considerably.
  11. FIFA rankings are just weird. Not saying Wales and Romania aren't good, but Wales better than Italy and Spain?
  12. How on earth did I miss Wales becoming decent at football? My Welsh best friend hasn't made a peep about it. Comparing their rankings in FIFA versus ELO shows a gulf of difference. 10th in FIFA and 42nd in ELO
  13. Getting nostalgic for 2005.

    1. Noah

      Noah

Get nostalgic for Biff Manfist instead.

Holy shit, I totally forgot about that. Can do!

  14. Does anybody have a link to a relatively up to date file for wrestling pictures? EWarehouse seems to only go up to March 2013, and I'd prefer not to have to download each of the monthly updates to get updated pictures if possible.
  15. My knowledge of international currencies is not what it once was, it seems. Life in my native country is ruining me.
  16. Sorry, I didn't think they'd be considered spoilers given the show seems to have decided to do away with said stuff. I'll be more wary in future.
  17. It's like $15/$17 AU. That'd be roughly £6? Could be off though, and I'm too lazy to check XE.
  18. I've been really enjoying Agent Carter. I hadn't see the one shot, nor did I particularly love the first Captain America, so I've been pleasantly surprised at how much I've enjoyed this series. The Carter/Jarvis interactions are fun, Chad Michael Murray is surprisingly tolerable as a sexist stereotypical guy from that era, Shea Wigham is fun (and slightly intelligent), and I quite like Dominic Cooper as Stark. Plus Lyndsey Fonseca is a fuggin' fox. That last episode was the bees knees too.
  19. My last status was about being done with teaching. I'm now back at university. Weird.

  20. I've set it to only allow a domination victory, because otherwise I win by diplomacy or culture before that point.
  21. Does anybody know of a good future tech mod? I'm tired of reaching the 'end point' and basically doing mop up duty with nothing else to aspire to but getting more future tech. Kind of wish the game would just seamlessly move into Beyond Earth tech once you got the Future Tech stage
