I don't know what these cards are. Are they worth caring about? How on earth do I get some? Anyway, this Steam Sale is the bees knees and also the bane of my credit card. So far I've bought: - Bioshock 1 & 2 - Alan Wake Pack - Fable III - Fallout 3 Ultimate Edition - Faster Than Light - Metro 2033 - Rollercoaster Tycoon 3: Platinum - Sleeping Dogs - Torchlight II In addition to recent purchases of The Witcher 1 & 2 and the Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition. Going to set an alarm for early tomorrow in case Civ V gets the 75% discount in the vote. Thank God I'm getting paid $3500 in a week.

Publishing my own setting/RPG rules is a dream of mine. Someday.

I've been playing D&D since 1996. Started in 2nd Edition, 'grew up' on 3rd/3.5, loathed 4th Edition, and have since migrated to Pathfinder. The new D&D (Next) looks good from the playtest material I've looked over.so far. Really keen to get a new game going here in China in a few weeks' time. I've got Beeker00Zero and a bunch of other geeks here, so planning to run Rappan Athuk for Pathfinder. I shelled out $200 for the Limited Edition a few years ago and haven't had a chance to play it. Love me some dungeon crawly goodness. Hoping to do some pen & paper game design with Beeker this year too. Got a few ideas.

I'm not gay, but I'm excited to listen to John Mayer's new album next month. Paper Doll sounds a little less folksy than his Born and Raised stuff, so I'm hopeful he's found a better middle ground between his sugary early stuff and his less accessible blues & roots stuff.

I am excited for Project Eternity. but think my next funding will go to Frontiers. Love me an open world RPG, and was still stuck on Mac when Daggerfall was in its prime. I'd like to 'experience' that for the first time without having to experience those awful graphics.

Picked Witcher 1 & 2 up for a steal on Steam the other day. Might be worth firing up. Has anybody tried Neverwinter yet? Looks like a semi-decent free to play MMORPG. The user created content is the only real draw for me. Would love to see some old school D&D adventures adapted.

I really need to get a console/some consoles. I've been a PC only gamer (unless iOS counts) for about five years now. My PS2 died and I don't live near my brothers with their Wii and xBox.

I need a new RPG to fill the chasm of time I'm about to have. What are some good, immersive, RPG games with plenty of gameplay in the vein of Dragon Age and Skyrim?

Eh, I couldn't get into it. Too slow compared to Civ's too fast.

Noticed Europa Universalis IV is up for pre-sale now. Not sure if I should get it. I love the idea of the game in concept, as I feel the Civ series is too over-simplified, but I felt EUIII went too far the other way.

Glad to see Tahiti get a goal (or two?) on the board. They were always going to get destroyed in this. New Zealand would not only have done better (obvious) but are actually in pretty damn good form of late. Could have beaten Nigeria. Just get rid of the OFC already. Split Asia into West and East, merge Oceania into the east, and be done with it.

Wahoo! Glad we got through there. I'm not sure I could have deal with a play-off against Uzbekistan and a play-off against the fifth placed South American team. If we never have to play sudden death football against Uruguay again, it will be too soon.

Picked up Borderlands 2 a few weeks ago. Not loving it solo, but I imagine it's a different beast with a group. I had the same issue with Left 4 Dead. Picked up Witcher and Witcher 2 for less than $10 today. Bargain.

It was more than we wanted more regular competition. We've certainly got that. Between the longer play-offs, the Asian Nations Cup, and the East Asian Cup - we're playing a lot more regularly. It's to our benefit that we play Asian teams rather than Oceanian teams - just not to the benefit of my heart when we're battling to lock down our spot.

I wish we still qualified through Oceania. A bunch of easy games and then we get to play the fourth best North American side? I'll take that over taking on Asian sides and - if we fail to make the top two - having to face the fifth placed South American side.

Hi all, I've just launched a pair of diaries (ambitious bastard that I am) and was looking for a pair of banners. The first, for World Cup 3226, would be similar to the one in my current sig (although with an updated year). It can be different if you're feeling adventurous. Think a post apocalyptic FIFA World Cup and you're headed in the right direction. Smaller would be better, as I want to include both in my sig without annoying anybody. ---- Second, I've launched Rappan Athuk - based on the famous D&D adventure. Would somebody please tell me how to be good at this? I'd like to actually play the game without giving my club huge amounts of money.
