Yeah, did it on the Microsoft website and even added something to my cart on both the website and console. No gift card balance. A few people on the MS Rewards subreddit had the same thing happen to them today. It’s odd.

did anyone else get a message from Xbox saying they've deposited a $5 gift card into your account? Because I did, it's from the official Xbox team or whatever, but there's no $5 gift card in my account. No link to follow, no code, so it's not a phishing scam or anything. I've got all the messages from this Xbox account since I activated my Series S, so I know it's legit. Very weird.

This is exactly what I'm doing once Better Call Saul is over. I think it'll be my... 3rd? re-watch of Breaking Bad. Kind of curious to revisit El Camino immediately after the BB finale, too.

I want to say they've explicitly stated in a recent blog post about the service that stacking of Now/Plus has been disabled for the moment.

So, besides using the Series S as a Gamepass machine, I do want to get into overlooked 360/One games since they can sometimes go on a pretty deep discount. I've found a few that interest me, and are only a few bucks, and I have a small list (with stuff like Enslaved, Lost Odyssey, Spec Ops: The Line, etc) to look out for, but I'm wondering what everyone else thinks.

Upside: Daredevil getting his own show set within the MCU Downside: It's written by the people who wrote the terrible Covert Affairs show that was on USA Network like 5 or 6 years ago. Now bring back Jessica Jones, you absolute fuckers.

I imagine She-Hulk will be the last long form live action TV show for the MCU this year, since I Am Groot, What If? S2, Werewolf by Night and the Guardians Holiday Special are all either confirmed or rumored to drop towards the fall/winter. 2023 looks really good, with Secret Invasion, X-Men '97, Armor Wars, Echo and possibly Loki S2 and/or Agatha coming out. Ironheart will probably start filming towards the end of the year I'd imagine, it might be 2023, but I'd expect early 2024. The remaining series, as far as I'm aware, haven't had updates on them either at all, or in awhile: Marvel Zombies, Spider-Man: Freshman Year, Wakanda series, and the Shang-Chi spin-off. After Ms. Marvel drops, everything else for me is just icing on the cake. Been waiting on that one for a long time, and I'm excited to see it. I'm also INSANELY hyped up for X-Men '97 and what that means for the MCU, if anything. It's either its own thing, or they're going to somehow tie it into the MCU.

Ozark was fuckin' fantastic, what a great season. I wish it was continuing on, but the story is complete. But, that finale. Fuck. I hated that. Not because of anything that happened (well, maybe one or two), but because some of it was just infuriating and made no sense.

I found a simple work around, if you're interested. Start a new Universe and just delete all of the PPVs except for the ones in February/March (Revolution), May (Double or Nothing), August/September (All Out) and November (Full Gear). Do the same thing if you want to use shows like Beach Break, Winter Is Coming, etc. But I'm ignoring those and sticking with the big four. My Universe is coming along. Renders are "fixed", but they look wonky in the tag team portion. I'm also a complete psycho and don't want my Miro render to have the TNT title if he's not the champion, and that's really the only good renders there are, so I had to use a slightly older Rusev one. Sucks, but it works. I'm nearly done with the roster, but having Dark and Rampage as minor shows, and certain people like Danielson, Punk, Jericho, etc not working minor shows is going to be a godsend for letting this massive roster all have matches.

I'm really looking forward to this one. Supposedly it'll have some fun cameos and returning minor characters, and might be the template for Deadpool's future in the MCU with the 4th wall breaking and whatnot. But the CGI for She-Hulk's face is, uh... not great.

If PS3 titles could be successfully emulated and downloaded, this would be great. But they still can't. So at this point I just want a decent library of classic PS1 and PS2 games, and shit I haven't played from PS4/PS5, and I'll be good.

Newest update added MyRise characters like regular Nakamura, old man HBK, regular Alexa Bliss, etc to the base game and playable. At least they listened to people about that one - but there’s no chance they do characters that are exclusive to MyFaction. But PPVs in Universe are still broken. I have an AEW one almost ready to go and I can’t do PPVs because it tells me my main show needs a Heavyweight champion set up to continue… which I do.

As long as the story/career mode isn't almost 100% based off social media interactions, I'm fine with all of this. I don't care much about Create-A-Wrestler, since pretty much the only CAWs I download in 2K22 are the AEW roster (working on getting the entire roster, with renders - got all of the signed women on their website so far). I'll just be happy to have a wrestling game with CM Punk officially in it again.

Citizen Sleeper is really fun if you're into roleplaying games like Disco Elysium. Not much in the way of actual gameplay, outside of moving up and down the overhead view of the space freighter you're on, and picking jobs, conversations, hacking gigs, etc. And it's dice based. But the artwork, sci-fi "cyberpunk" setting, immersive text based descriptions of the world and scenarios you get yourself into... it's pretty good. And it's on Gamepass (also on PC/Switch). They also did Genesis Noir, if anyone tried that out on Gamepass too. If I get to try some of their other games, and they're like this one and GN, they might be one of my favorite studios - up there with Annapurna Interactive.

Kendrick continues to do nothing for me, and I still can't put my finger on exactly why I don't care for his stuff. There was probably a time in my life where I would have loved the type of hip hop Kendrick does, but that's just not what I'm into at (almost) 33 years old. I do like his buddy Jay Rock, though.

Also, no, you don't need to see Moon Knight for this. That has no connection to anything (yet). I'd suggest watching No Way Home before this, to understand the consequences of the multiverse and whatnot, but the only stuff I'd suggest is necessary is WandaVision. If the last time you saw Wanda was Endgame, her whole thing here isn't going to make much sense to you.

Trek to Yumi is out on Gamepass. It's beautiful, does the whole Kurosawa tribute (aesthetically) better than Ghost of Tsushima, IMO. The combat isn't super deep or anything. It's fun, don't get me wrong. It's just very... simple. Which is fine! But, they need to release a patch to fix the parry system, like, immediately. It's frustratingly bad. In other Gamepass stuff - I installed LiS: True Colors yesterday, played it for hours, and finally finished it this morning. It's really, really good. The first game, and Before the Storm, have a real special place in my heart, but this one is probably the best - but I haven't played 2, so I can't say that for certain. But, man. So many twists and turns in that story that I didn't see coming. You love to see it (not really, shit is heartbreaking). I'll probably watch someone play the Wavelengths DLC, since I'm not buying DLC for a Gamepass game that'll leave the service eventually. I might start Citizen Sleeper tonight if my buddy from work doesn't want to play Fortnite.

This wasn’t my favorite D+ show, but it also wasn’t my least favorite. I enjoyed it, but yeah it definitely could have used another two episodes. That finale ended, and it went by QUICK. No time was wasted from the very start, but it felt like we got to this finale way too fast as well. And the post-credits stinger is great and all, but if they don’t do a Season 2, why should anyone really give a fuck? I’m not sure I, as a non-MK fan, have enough vested interest in this character I’ve seen for six episodes to care if he appears in, say, Blade. Seeing how this series shaked out with introducing a new completely new character somewhat walled off from the wider MCU at the moment, makes me worried about Ms. Marvel and how that’ll be handled. I mean, I’m a big Kamala Khan fan, but for those that aren’t… after it ends, will these people care about her being in The Marvels and seeing how her story continues, or is it going to be like me and Moon Knight, where I need more solo series time with the character before I care?
