Ridiculous skill

Following up from the bunch of vids I posted in another thread:

Just clips of unreal tekkers. Example.

For those not familiar with football that is an outrageous bit of skill. You are basically saying to the goal keeper "I have no respect for you or your family".

One of my players lobbed the Walsall academy keeper with a chest controlled full volley from his own half when we played them in a friendly a few years ago. We lost 14-1 but we won a victory for beautiful football.

Its like that bit in Simpsons where someone takes the fourth or fifth bullet for the president

Never heard of him. Favorite moments of this:

  • 0:57 when he just bodies the defender
  • 1:29 or so, he wasn't even trying
  • 1:42 his buddy is so jacked up by the goal that he kicks the ball back into the net
  • 1:57 bends it like Beckham, wowsers
  • 2:10 that's not even a fair corner kick
  • 2:55 getting taken out while slamming home the header, that's an nfl move
  • 3:15 whoever that blue team is should have just been folded
  • 3:41 he's literally just doing that to bully the other guy
  • 4:34 classic lob ball

Seems like he was a pretty decent player

Edit: From wikipedia "Despite his poor work-rate, and lack of notable pace or stamina..."

Ahh so he was that guy lmao

Is it bad that I knew which team he was talking about just from the description? Barry Venison cut off his mullet in shame after this.

With the benefit of hindsight, I'm also inclined to agree with his assessment.

Just for snooker in general I've always been amazed at any professional player's ability to control the cue ball, and I speak from my many failed attempts to try and execute even the slightest bit of spin.

I'll add any 9 dart leg as well, again from trying and failing to get even one dart where I want it to go.

My favourite part and the first clip I thought about when this topic popped up is the first goal. He strokes it into the top corner, over the goalie, with such ease. It is a ridiculous strike.

From all accounts of anyone who played with him or knew him, he was the most naturally gifted footballer they ever played with or against at that time.
