Female-fronted punk bands?

Yes, on the search for this type of music. I recently fell in love with both Tilt and Tsunami Bomb, and I now require more. Happy, fast, maybe even somewhat punk-pop material is what I'm looking for.

The band that formed after TBS split have a couple of alright tracks. Can't remember the name though. And be your own PET are fantastic.

To be fair, Keith's beyond right. Seriously, if you want female fronted punkers, The Distillers are the be all end all, I was just too concerned with my own personal music helping to bother suggesting them

Actually, if you want good female fronted punk bands then ignore the Distillers. There are much better out there in the form of X, The Avengers, X-Ray Spex, and The Alice Bag Band (or simply the Bags). Although I'm not a fan of them, Devotchka's are another female fronted punk band that some people enjoy. The first four bands I mentioned are pretty much the best around though.

I think The Distillers are terrible, I've never seen the appeal. The best female-fronted punk band out there is undoubtedly X-Ray Spex, The Horrorpops are worth a listen if you don't mind their psychobilly leanings, Bikini Kill are good, as are 7 Year Bitch, Le Tigre and Be Your Own PET.
